I expect Bubba to do tremendous things at Nebraska

Although I never heard what Jed stated... I can address your comments JJM..
WTF...
Are you freaking nuts?
Thank the Almighty that our Husker athletes don't come in with a defeatist attitude like some of our fan base... or the fucking fans would be sitting in their Volvo's whining about a 3-9 record every year.
Pressure???
If you have the abilities to play this level, then you strive for success.....
You thrive on pressure.... to be better with each given play... game... season...
C'mon JJM; you just posted the above to rile people up... I hope... if not...
Need a tissue?
Here is one of my issues.
Curt Dukes gets recruited and he is the next Scott Frost.
Harrison Beck gets recruited and he has 100 stars so he is obviously great.
Cody Green gets recruited and he is the next Vince Young and going to start right away.
Brion Carnes gets recruited and he is related to Tommie Frazier and came from the same high school so he is the best we have even though we have the next Vince Young already in Lincoln.
Bubba Starling gets recruited and he is going to be the best even though we have Tommie Frazier's relative on the team.
As soon as these kids get recruited they are automatically compared to someone that was great before ever putting on a college jersey and the previous best ever player that was recruited the year before that is already here is just kind of cast aside. If Bubba turns down millions just to play here, the love and pressure on him will be higher than it already is because he turned down millions for the "love for Nebraska and the game". It is just too much to put on a college player so quickly. If he goes pro, yes there is pressure but he is then a professional and the pressure is justified as a professional player should be treated like a professional.
So.. according to jed, we should put no pressure on college athletes, and just allow them to be mediocre?
NTY, they are men.. some are older than me, and they are my peers, i will not treat them like babies.

That is not what I said or meant at all but if that is what you and BRS want to take from it then that is fine.
Note to irule...
add to "Jedburks" definition to include;
Assumes comments made by other people must include third parties opinions (that were never stated) in the equation; see's recruits being recognized as players with great potential as a detriment to their future.
I added you to my comment to Irule because I knew you were going to jump to some inane conclusion that was incorrect as well. Thank you for allowing me to correctly predict the future.
Keep dealing in hypotheticals. I will stay here in reality.
You crack me up... LOL,
Reality... you say... bwaaahaaahahahah...
Sounds to me like you fear success and rather than embracing the potential, you run from a challenge, or at least suggest our athletes should.
No worries, you are entitled... There are people who need a track to run on and then there are those who create their own track...
I can respect that.
