And by the way, I agree with Jed on the Bubba situation.........our fanbase just places too much expectation on a kid like this. I'm not trying to make Bubba look bad, but if he chooses Nebraska I bet he'll never pan out here. Husker fans do this shit too much where we place superman's cape on some 18 year old kid (Cody Green ahem) and then it just doesn't pan out for them.

Too much pressure for the young guys...........and there is no place in the entire country that will put more pressure on a kid than Nebraska.

1st Jed, like I stated, I had not heard your comments, thus was not responding to you... Take your time and read...

But since you addressed me, I will address your statement.

You speak from a fan stand point, I speak from another + a fan. My expectations of Bubba or any other Husker player is not near the level of expectations that the athlete themselves place upon their own shoulders.

The pressure felt by players (in large) has nothing to do with fan expectations because we realize that most fans have never played this level of ball and has little if any experience to describe what one feels
(as a player) ...

I guess I stand corrected by you Jed... fans like you who have seen your way to rationalize and predict ones future and demise, because it is the fans expectations that determine and regulates how athletes play...

Man, I wish I knew this fact back in my days... I would have never played college ball...

By the way, I am sure there would be no pressure on Bubba if he went pro out of high school to play for the Royals... Naaah... $10m, a contract, agents, press... non-stop travel...
