I absolutely love Jayden Daniels. Just had to say it.

Yes, that's very obvious! Can we finally put to bed the notion that you don't need a franchise QB for lasting success in the NFL? One player, just one, and the outlook for this team not only for this season but for the foreseeable future has totally changed almost overnight.
General question is do you need a franchise qb to win ? Simple answer is no , it’s great to have but it guarantees nothingYes, that's very obvious!
... and in a rare once-in-a-while needle, (sorry guys) unless you count all of the years when this team dominated the division, won, what was it 3 NFC titles, and 3 SBs with Kirk Cousins.
Yes he did
Brock Purdy.Sam Darnold , baker mayfield
He was 3 points in OT away from winning against this generation s best qb . Jackson , Allen haven’t been to a superbowl and burrow did lose one . I will grant anyone that having a franchise qb makes life easier but it isn’t needed nor does it guarantee itBrock Purdy.
The great Bobby Douglas !
Nobody said it guarantees anything. But there is a reason the teams who have made the most playoff appearances all had franchise QBs. Of course if I supplied the lisit of winning SB teams they would be dominated with teams with franchise QBs as well. They are only 1/3 of the league yet they win 90% of the Super Bowls. As I said in those playoff runs Ryp and Flacco PLAYED like franchise QBs.General question is do you need a franchise qb to win ? Simple answer is no , it’s great to have but it guarantees nothing
No doubt you want a franchise qb. But do you have to have one to win? Let me point to Joe Flacco. He was 3 points in OT away from winning against this generation s best qb . But that wasn’t your original statement. I agree with everything you stated above. must you have a franchise qb To win A SB. no. But to build a dynasty and perennial winner, you probably do.Nobody said it guarantees anything. But there is a reason the teams who have made the most playoff appearances all had franchise QBs. If you still can't see how having a QB playing at a high level is critical for lasting success I honestly have no idea what game you are watching. We are seeing it right here right now with our team.
If you don’t understand that nick foles isn’t a franchise qb I don’t know what to say . Ryp and Flacco aren’t franchise qbs and never will be . Trent Dilfer isn’t a franchise qb . Having one is a huge advantage but it isn’t the end all be allNobody said it guarantees anything. But there is a reason the teams who have made the most playoff appearances all had franchise QBs. I'll give you Foles. Now want to see my list? It will be far far longer, the list of SB winning QBs is dominated by franchise QBs. As I have already explained, twice, Ryp and Flacco played at a very high level during their playoff runs. They PLAYED like franchise QBs. When they reverted so did their teams which proves the need for a QB playing at a high level. If you don’t understand that nick foles isn’t a franchise qb I don’t know what to say . My original statement was "Can we finally put to bed the notion that you don't need a franchise QB for lasting success in the NFL?" Not sure what the rub is here as you are agreeing with your last sentence. Note I never said "dynasty" I said lasting success and at this point it's obvious that you need a QB playing at a high level for lasting success. But that wasn’t your original statement. Qb play has been important since the 1930’ s no more or no less , just different Then today . Brock Purdy , Jalen Hurts are 2 qbs that arent franchise qbs making it to superbowls and have been consistent winnersMy original statement was "Can we finally put to bed the notion that you don't need a franchise QB for lasting success in the NFL?" And this is far more so now than when Dilfer was playing, a name I missed in my post to @skinsdad62 . The game is far more dependant on the QB now than it was in 2000.
Everyone understands that in today's game with so much more passing than the 30's and even the 2000's the QB is much more important today than it was in the past.Qb play has been important since the 1930’ s no more or no less , just different Then today .
