Burke says he hasn't like the Flames last few drafts, but on Sept 5th of this year he said:

I was working for Anaheim at the time – I had no dog in this fight – and sitting upstairs watching, I think Calgary had the best draft,” Burke said.

I can't believe Greg Sherman technically outlasted Jay Feaster.

You wonder if the Ryan O'Reilly offer sheet fiasco was ultimately the final nail in the coffin for Feaster. Thankfully, Sherman matched that offer sheet, otherwise the Flames could have lost draft picks plus O'Reilly on waivers. Inexcusable really for any GM to not double and triple-check all the possible scenarios before submitting the offer sheet.
