Right, he'll just be less productive. Cutler had a pretty good career... he was very serviceable, it's just that the Bears organization is bottom 10 in the league and they thought bringing in, "Let's kill our QB" Martz was a brilliant plan.
Cutler is better than most people give him credit for. Is he elite? No. But he's a solid, above average QB. He has a better career passer rating than Eli Manning and Joe Flacco. Most people consider those guys good QBs. But Cutler is considered average at best by most.
The truth is he's just had incredibly bad luck in his career. A lot of bad teams and he's had to deal with a ton of different offensive coordinators. He had one that he REALLY clicked with in 2015 and had the best year of his career, and then the coordinator left to become the Dolphins coach. That's just the kind of luck Cutler has.
Cutler has almost every passing record in Bears history. Good statistics. 18 game winning drives, so he's clutch when the game is on the line in the final few minutes. The big knock on him is he made the playoffs only once. But if you look closer, you see a lot of that is just bad luck. Like the year he had them rolling towards the playoffs at 7-3, but then he broke his thumb making a TD saving tackle after an INT that happened because his receiver fell down. His backups went 1-5 and they missed the playoffs. INCREDIBLY bad luck for Cutler. There was the year they had the division title pretty much wrapped up, but lost it because the defense allowed Aaron Rodgers to complete a 4th down Hail Mary. Again incredibly bad luck for Cutler. There was the year that Cutler went 10-6, but they missed the playoffs due to a tiebreaker. So with just a little luck, Cutler could have made the playoffs 4 times instead of just 1.
Cutler won a TON of games under Lovie Smith. The record speaks for itself. Then they fired Smith after a 10 win season. HUGE mistake. Since then under Trestman/Fox, the Bears have had downright terrible teams. Cutler can't be judged on that.
Every reporter that has interviewed Cutler in the last few years has noted how much he has matured. They say he's like a completely different person since getting married and having kids. Maturity is no longer an issue for him. Some team will be lucky to have him as their QB. If Cutler is put in a good situation, he will win. He's a good, above average QB. Hopefully he's due for some better luck.
Should have happened 5 years ago.

DeAngelo Hall appreciated Cutler.
Redskins beat Bears, 17-14; DeAngelo Hall ties NFL record with 4 interceptions
On the flip side, when Cutler was a Bronco and Hall was a Raider, Cutler had one of the best games of his career picking on D Hall all game long.
Yeah, they were both similar style of players. Douchebag risk takers. A couple guys who can be great, but can also be awful. They are also a couple of the biggest pricks in the last 20 years in the NFL.
Fuck. Instead of two auto-wins, Detroit is going to have to work at it again?
When have the Lions ever had an Auto Win?!?!?!?Fuck. Instead of two auto-wins, Detroit is going to have to work at it again?
When have the Lions ever had an Auto Win?!?!?!?

I think the whole "Cutler is a prick" thing is over-blown, media bullshit.
