I've never heard one person say, "Man, that Jason Kidd, he's a helluva coach."

Ok, your point? Everybody was saying he was doing a good job just last year. What were the Bucks doing before him?

I really can't recall anyone boasting of his talents as a coach.


They were pretty sweet with Lee Alcindor and the Big O. Other than that, maybe they've won five or six playoff series in my lifetime. Idk. They were decent that one year the Sixers won the East.

Well I recall him finishing 8th in voting for coach of the year, which is good out of 30 coaches.

Bottom line is this was poorly handled. You want to make a change? Do it after the season is over, now this season is a mess.

I guess it depends on what you call doing a good job, but here are his records as head coach

13-14 season - 15 wins 67 losses - prior to Jason Kidd

14-15 season - 41 Wins 41 losses - With Jason Kidd
15-16 season 33 Wins 49 losses - With Jason Kidd
16-17 season 42 Wins - 40 losses - With Jason Kidd
17- So far 24 Wins -22 Losses

So I don't see why they were so high on him to begin with - To me - when a person starts a new job - he or she needs to be trained - I think training begins as an assistant coach working for a head coach with experience. To start off as head coach with virtually no experience was a huge risk and actually In reconsideration - He did a fairly good job for some one with no training. Being one of the best players in the NBA is not the same thing as being head coach

That was for the Brooklyn Nets though - Not the Bucks - Ironically I think he would still have a job for the Nets - there expectations don't seem to be that high

Sometimes an impropriety +/or malfeasance in a teams front office gets handled & mitigated by scapegoating the head coach. Justifiable perhaps, but more times than not it isn't.

It's usually not tactful...but it's a knee jerk reactionary move out of convenience.

I sorta think Kidd could be done as a coach. He rubbed people the wrong way with the Nets and now the Bucks. It's also no secret that Jason Kidd is basically a dick.

FWIW, I'm saying the next Bucks head coach is Jeff Van Gundy
