I think we're talking about two different things

Jordan and Kobe were all about winning first. In that respect they were team players.

But their ultra-competitive, sometimes too do it yourself style were absolutely considered selfish at various times in their careers.

While I agree that you should not compare these guys in terms of overall value as players, if we are only talking about the offensive side of the court it is valid IMO.
