Good to hear. As stated in the game post they need to change up some of the play calling. If not Conner will be done in 2 years.
That was a good post and I agreed. Using him as a wrecking ball is only going to give them at best 8-10 games this year.Good to hear. As stated in the game post they need to change up some of the play calling. If not Conner will be done in 2 years.
It really is pathetic to think he is Bell, which he isn't, who has that great ability to avoid contact even in tight spaces. That was a good post and I agreed. Using him as a wrecking ball is only going to give them at best 8-10 games this year.
Don't think anyone expected him to replace Bell. Maybe just said out of spite during the Bell holdout, but we did expect the coaches to use him better than they did last year. After a hot start Fichtner decided to unleash the passing game of 50-60 attempts per game and leave Conner on the bench. Made no sense. It really is pathetic to think he is Bell, which he isn't, who has that great ability to avoid contact even in tight spaces.
Oh yeah, I guess where I was going is with the play calling on the run plays. They worked for Bell due to this style and the lack of adjustment for Conner's style is laughable.Don't think anyone expected him to replace Bell. More than anything it goes to show that the #runningbacksdontmatter... and paying them is hard to justify. Unless you are Christian McCaffrey.
