This wasn't about players getting traded and it wasn't about the Pels not wanting to trade AD to the Lakers.

It was about the fact that when a team is ready to move on from a player, whether the players wants to be traded or not, fans usually see it as the team "doing what's best for the team" and they generally don't complain too much about it.

But, when the player is ready to move on from the team and asks for a trade, they are painted as the villain and considered disloyal.
