I agreed with you up to this point. It is absolutely fair.
Accepting the responsibilities that come with an athletic scholarship is part of the package. Playing football at any university is a privilege, not an entitlement.
As for a kid yelling offensive remarks in the dining hall, I think you will find very few colleges or universities that will be willing to simply brush off that kind of behavior - especially not in today's environment. Is that fair? Yes. Yes it is.
Yeah, I was looking at it more from the kids perspective. In a way, it's not fair that they aren't allowed the same mistakes that other college students make. But I agree and stated in my post that they are the face of the university and accepting that schollie gives them a different set of expectations because they are not "normal college kids".
