Stay on the point of the thread you are posting on or dont post on it at all..
Do not forget that you posted this because I will remind you every time you are off topic.

Post that quote for me...There isnt one...
I could care less if you cannot find his post. The fact remains he made it in the Eric Wright thread.

Where is his admission of being wrong...
Try reading the threads. Hard having a discussion with someone who either does not read the threads or is so old he cannot remember what was posted in the threads.

He never said anything to the sort that it would give us an option that no other team had.
His saying..."that gives us an option" obviously he meant this created a unique situation for us. Otherwise how ridiculous would it sound to go around talking like that. Just imagine..."Having Stafford play QB gives us the option to throw the ball."

D.E. - "If they were to go through OUR training camp it would be OUR offense they would be familiar with."
TP: "Exactly- that was the point I was trying to make..."
...and my point is that you said he would not practice and then would be cut...you followed that up with...This gives us the option...and I said it gives us nothing because we cut him. You followed up someone else's post with something to the effect that you have no clue how the PUP rules work and so that blows all of your crazy scenarios out of the water. Now you have some guy who thinks just because he knows some 4 letter words that he can support you. You even went as far as saying you would do something like stock up on these veterans and sign a bunch of them to have waiting in case of injuries. I followed that up with something about you making up rules and not understanding the existing rules. On that note, you have shown that you do not understand the cap because you think IR players do not count against the cap, you do not understand the Rule of 51 and think it applies 365 days, you do nut understand the PUP rules and really have no clue as to my pension but you still chime in like you have a clue.
...for my money it definitely makes some sense to train a handful of guys now so maybe we'll have some better options down the road. I think it's a great way to get some value out of injury prone veterans that you wouldn't necessarily want to give a roster spot to off the get-go...
Ridiculous...to think that the 90 players we have in camp are not being prepared to fill in if they get cut is ludicrous. S&M have the best 90 players they can find. They are not going to stockpile broken down veterans.

Honest question here for anyone. How could principal not like TP's "sunshine" attitude, when he didn't even know him?

First of all, TP posts this and you automatically take it as gospel and he is a boldface liar:
TP: "Principal came out and said that he didn't like my "sunshine" attitude so he purposefuly made a trolling post"
I never "purposefully (Notice I corrected his spelling, do I get extra points from you?) made a trolling post" and I had already made previous posts that clearly showed that I am a Lions fan, but I am a realist too.

Honest question here for anyone. How could principal not like TP's "sunshine" attitude, when he didn't even know him? Just looking for some insight to how he hated TP so much without much to go on?

Here is what he posted:
TP: "Talent isn't the issue with our team any more. Coaching, however, doesn't hold the same distinction..."

We went 4-12 and he predicts us going 9-7 but talent is not an issue, I simply shared my opinion on the talent level at each position without a smidgen of personal condescension in my post (see Schwartz vs. Mayhew feud rumor recent post). It snowballed from there.

I don't have time to respond to your latest series of deflections, half truths, mis-quotes, and other stupidity right now but count on the fact that I will be later tonight.

I think Principal needs to learn what the rest of us already know- you just don't argue with Meow.
I noticed how you shut up right quick when he put you in your place. Just because you get on your knees for him does not mean everyone needs to...I mean the guys name is the sound a pussy makes.

Justified.... That's funny.

You're totally right man. This guy admitted to trying to get to me by making a trash-talking post about our players simply because he didn't like my "sunshine" attitude towards our team. But it's clearly my bad for being too positive, thus causing him to have to talk shit about our players on purpose.

So glad I have such good buds to back me up when someone makes an account just to troll the board to get a rise out of me...

And I don't want to hear any bullshit about him giving his opinion. He admitted to talking shit on purpose to piss me off.

Then again I know that doesn't mesh with your theory that I personally attack each and every person whom I don't 100% agree with...

It has already been established that Principal is a real account and not one made up by another person on the board.

It's not that hard to point out he's wrong, without calling him stupid, or an idiot, or a dumbass, or complaining about his spelling and grammar. I did it in response to his Staff comments, so did Rob. It only took a sentence too.

No it doesn't, not by any stretch.

Just because you don't have a basic command of the English language, don't try to take that out on me. I said "that gives us an option" because it gives us an option. In no way did I say that signing a guy through camp and preseason only to cut him and hope he's available in season as an injury replacement gives us an option that's unique to us. Any team can do the same, and once said player is released any team can sign him.

The advantage to that approach is that it (potentially) gives us a few guys on the free agent market that know our playbook and could be brought in with a drastically lessened learning curve.

Man you sure are an argumentative one though. If I tell you this text is black and the background is white how are you going to respond to that?

That would depend if one was color blind. He may see it blue and green therefore he would be right by disagreeing. :laugh3:

...and my point is that you said he would not practice and then would be cut...you followed that up with...This gives us the option...and I said it gives us nothing because we cut him.
Now you're mixing two completely different comments/thoughts of mine together to try to make me look bad.

Option 1 involves bringing him in and putting him on PUP immediately in order to have access to him for a 3 week window mid season.

Option 2 involves bringing him in through camp and preseason and then cutting him in hopes that he'll be available during the season if we sustain an injury at his position.

This is the 2nd time I've had to clarify this for you. Please slow down and try to process what you're reading.

You followed up someone else's post with something to the effect that you have no clue how the PUP rules work and so that blows all of your crazy scenarios out of the water.
No, I was mistaken on when someone could be placed on the PUP, and I admitted as much well before you decided to make me being wrong about something your campaign platform for the next several days.

The problem is that I beat you to the punch and made a post admitting my error, so now you just look like a childish jerk who is trying to beat a simple misunderstanding of the rules to death. For a supposed retired administrator you sure are immature...

Now you have some guy who thinks just because he knows some 4 letter words that he can support you.
Huh? I'm starting to get the feeling that you're nuttier than squirrel turds.

You even went as far as saying you would do something like stock up on these veterans and sign a bunch of them to have waiting in case of injuries.
I did say that. I don't know about a "bunch" but given that we have 90 roster spots right now, bringing in 4 or 5 definitely makes some sense.

Not sure what you're trying to get at there, but I explained my reasoning pretty clearly, so I have no reason to hide from that comment.

I followed that up with something about you making up rules and not understanding the existing rules.
That you did. I didn't make up any rules at all and had already clarified that I misunderstood the rules of when someone could be placed on the PUP. So thanks for pointing out that you were basically just being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole.

Ridiculous...to think that the 90 players we have in camp are not being prepared to fill in if they get cut is ludicrous. S&M have the best 90 players they can find. They are not going to stockpile broken down veterans.
I never said that they weren't- way to put words in my mouth once again though. I also don't think they have the best 90 they can find, otherwise why are they bringing in all of these veterans for workouts this week? Hmm...

Guys like you crack me up- you act like you're so smart, as if you're making us all look foolish with each post, yet the reality is the polar opposite, yet you're too self-absorbed to ever see that.

TP: "Principal came out and said that he didn't like my "sunshine" attitude so he purposefully made a trolling post"
I never "purposefully (Notice I corrected his spelling, do I get extra points from you?) made a trolling post" and I had already made previous posts that clearly showed that I am a Lions fan, but I am a realist too.

Well here's some evidence to the contrary:
"Next time you think to speak for my motivation...think again. My post had nothing to do with ruffling your feathers. It was a retort to your Kool-Aid drinking, cornbread eating post you made. I simply shared my perspective and backed it with a whole lot of research and reality."

You kind of contradict yourself in that one- it wasn't about ruffling my feathers, just a retort to my overly positive attitude? So what you are saying is that you weren't replying to anything specific I said about any players, you just felt the need to make a trash-talking post about our guys because I had been drinking too much Honolulu Blue Kool-aid?

That, Principal, is trolling 101. Nice try, though.

However, here's the smoking gun I was really looking for:

Here you go you fucking idiot, read my God damn post again and see what the fuck I really said.

"Well you started it with your post that was all SUNSHINE. Hate to break it to you but not everyone agrees with those ridiculous comments you made that I responded to..."

Obviously I said you started it but you are such a fucking moron you could not understand that.

So, while you're claiming that I started it, you readily admit that I started it simply by being "all SUNSHINE" and that I never, in fact, directed anything negative towards you prior to this. If you don't like my positive attitude that's fine, but it's pretty weak, imo, to say that I "started" all of this with my "sunshine" attitude.

Here is what he posted:

Hmm... here's an interesting post you made concerning the subject:
"OK so I embellished a little but you did place these guys above their talent level in your evaluation. Saying something to the effect about them making other teams."

And here's the post in question, the one you keep trying to pass off as oh-so-innocent, for all to read:

I hope you are right about the talent because I just do not see it. I see...
OL - we had no choice but to blow it up...that said, I'd shit myself if they are any good. S&M and scared shitless that the OL is terrible. They picked up Harris and Scott for fear that nobody can play C or G on this team. Hope I am wrong.
WR - CJ and lots of prayers. Burly as much as I love him looked like he could not get open last year. Broyles is one more hit from following Javid out the door. After that I think we have 27 guys fighting it out for WR positions and probably none of them could make another team in the NFL.
QB - Stafford is one more piece of ass away from pissing all of his talent down the drain.
TE - Pettigrew, another favorite of mine, is about 10 drops away from no longer being a Lion. Scheffler shouldn't be a Lion. Heller ranked highest of all of our TEs on at least 1 TE list I saw and he is gone. Fauria is a non-traditional TE (at best) an Williams will play the Reiff roll if I had to bet.
DE - We may set the record for the fewest sacks by DEs in the history of the NFL this year.
LBs - No one wanted Tulloch and he proved why. Levy would not start on another team in the NFL, that is why he signed for 77 cents a game. Durant was our best LB and we let him go because he could not create turnovers. I am hoping Messina blows up camp and takes someone's job.
CBs - Houston is our best and he was absolutely pathetic the 2nd half of last year.
S - Quin will be an outstanding improvement to our safety play because it has been HORRIBLE for as long as I can remember.
K - when the best player on your team over the past 20 years is a kicker, you really SUCK.

I'm sorry, but that's blatant trash-talk trolling. Those comments were designed to instigate a response- and that, ladies and gentlemen of the jerky, is trolling.

Like I've posted a few times now Principal, all the stuff you post doesn't go anywhere. Don't make claims that your previous posts easily disprove...
