UF would be a good landing spot

So the local sports station is reporting that Hurts has been talking to Kyler Murray to get his thoughts if Murray is coming back to OU next year. OU needs a 1 year gap guy to fill the spot until Spencer Rattler is ready. Obviously Murray fits that bill but Hurts wouldn't be a bad 1 year option either.
That seems like the dumbest thing he could do. He's getting his signing bonus, but what's the point? I don't see a route he plays in the NFL, and he has an extremely promising route to MLB success, a sport that will not only not wreck his body but could pay him substantially more.

This was my very first thought. If he's going the grad transfer route (no clue what his academic situation is), Maryland would be a perfect fit with a familiar coach and no real outstanding QB there.

My understanding is he graduated in December.

You would be correct. Grad transfer route it is. I'm glad, he's a great kid who deserves to play for someone. Does have have 1 or 2 seasons of eligibility left?

One. He played in more than 4 games this year.

I absolutely agree. Whatever team gets him will be my second favorite team this coming season. I can’t overstate how much class he showed this season.

Classy kid. He could have bailed last year but didn’t. Kid fought for his spot despite all the noise. While it wasn’t a storybook ending, it was awesome for him to show up in the SEC Title game. Good luck to him.

He's good enough to be starting for somebody. I wonder if he might wind up at Maryland?

Maryland would've been dangerous with a good QB

That RB is ridiculous

He could possibly stay in-state and go to Troy; but that's not too likely unless they can find a new head coach and staff prior to the start of spring training.

Well I think he's a class act to start with.

But right now he's a legend at Alabama and it would be incredible stupid to ruin his legacy over what would look like and amount to nothing more than sour grapes.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him back at Alabama as a GA as I think he likely has a future as a coach.
Or insurance agent.

Probably would be a great fit in terms of offensive system for him.

He could go to Arkansas. While Morris tends to throw it more than Gus IMO Hurts would work in his offense. His skill set is similar to what Tajh Boyd had, Hurts is a better runner while IMO Tajh was a slightly better passer, so Morris knows how to utilize that kind of QB skill.
