I'd say we could take him....but then Harbaugh would just run FB's up the middle. Might as well go to a team who will actually pass the ball to WR's.

Since he probably isn't an NFL QB, he might consider following the path of the other Jalen Hurd (instead of Hurts) by going to Baylor and converting to a slot receiver.
My first call is to Mike Leach. Dude is elevating backups like nobody’s business.

Hurts goes to Florida and beats Bama in the SECCG next year. It would be a marketing bonanza for CFB.

CFL maybe.
Maybe.

IMO, he's a good enough athlete to have a shot at the NFL in another position. I was very impressed at how Rhule used Hurd as a slot receiver and running back at times. Put him on a better team and that should he should be even better.

To me, such a versatile player is valuable..but that is just my opinion.

They(fans and such) talked about putting him at other positions at Alabama and it never happened. Supposedly he wants to play QB and doesn't give a shit about the rest. But who really knows. Part of the reason he stayed this year was supposedly to get the QB training from Enos.

But lets say he did and he just couldn't make it as a starter/contributer - if he can't make the roster at Alabama at another position, he certainly isn't going to do it in the NFL.

He's definitely athletic enough.

I’ve heard Maryland with Locksley is a good bet.
This was my very first thought. If he's going the grad transfer route (no clue what his academic situation is), Maryland would be a perfect fit with a familiar coach and no real outstanding QB there.

So the local sports station is reporting that Hurts has been talking to Kyler Murray to get his thoughts if Murray is coming back to OU next year. OU needs a 1 year gap guy to fill the spot until Spencer Rattler is ready. Obviously Murray fits that bill but Hurts wouldn't be a bad 1 year option either.

I guess it never remotely occurred to me Murray would come back
