This is fair actually. Wasn't he making 10 mil per season with the eagles? I want to see how this contract is broken down.

I am ok with this contract... 16 mil guarnteed...3 yr contract...24mil total...Easy...8 mil a season, with the first 2 guarnteed....reasonable...and that is Basically what Garcon makes....so...we dont run the risk of making him mad........ has to have a decent signing bonus though, to spread cap hit out...

for this money, I am very ok with it, and NOW can think of what a Dynamic offesne we could be sproting in DC!!!!

8mil? I didn't know we had that much space. Do we have to make any moves for it to work?

Now its time to put together a good O-line to protect RG3 and give him time to find all of his WR's

That's just the average, not necessarily what the team will pay this year. My guess is that his salary this year will be in the $4M range and he received a rather hefty signing bonus that can be prorated over the life of the contract, keeping the cap hit low this year.

So in theory, after Clark and Jackson, is it safe to assume we'll be fine signing our draft picks?

The OL is already improving. Lauvao is an upgrade at LG or RG...McGlynn if he returns to form was a good C.

The cap gurus could answer this better than me, I'm sure, but I don't think it'll be too difficult to sign our picks. Without a #1 pick (particularly the high one we should have had), they won't be too expensive.

Reasonable contract for both sides. I am still a bit skeptical with reports of the guys attitude, work ethic, etc. but what's done is done. He is on board and he makes this team much much better on Offense AND special teams. As long as D-Jax doesn't pull a Hernadez...this is fairly low risk/high reward IMO.

The WR corp (if Reed is healthy and continues to progress) could be awesome. The Cowpies (along with the rest of the NFCE) should be shaking in their shitkickers...

We should have no issues signing our draft pics, especially since we don't have a number 1. Only the top 51 contracts count toward the cap until the final roster is set so it is doubtful that any of our draft picks will even break that number.

lol. I said 7-10 mil. I think its a deal at 8 b/c he was going to make 10.5 this year with the eagles and 9 for 2015 with the eagles. I think the eagles wanted to dump his salary. the gang thing was just bs.

Oh well - all water under the bridge now. We should all simply be excited at what looks to be a very exciting offense next season.

i wish when the debates are going on that there would be reason involved instead of falling on the sword we get so often here

Cmon - this should be a day to be happy to be a Redskins fan. All that I really care about in the end is a good product on the field and this at least holds the promise of that. I really don't care about winning debates or who was right or wrong in previous posts (for the most part). Like I have always maintained - I would gladly be wrong about just about anything if the end result is a better Redskins team.

Unless you have inside knowledge all of what happens on this forum is conjecture and for entertainment value.
