I don't know whether to feel sorry for this guy or just chalk it up to his intelligence. He wasn't very good in LA or (now) CBJ as a defender, and then you add in stuff like being too trusting with his money and it really makes you wonder if the guy simply has a stack of bricks for a brain. Typical athlete meathead would be my definition.
That said, I hope he gets his financial life in order and starts making better decisions. He has been put in a wonderful position of being blessed physically to be able to play a sport he loves and making millions and millions doing it - don't blow it.
I will never make anything remotely close to what this guy has already made in his career and I have better financial sense and planners, attorneys, etc. than this guy does. Absolutely mind boggling.
