It must be true...

Pujols takes steroids!
I know for a fact he was. The trainer that worked with him, threw him batting practice from Kansas City, that worked him out every day, basically told me that's what he did

“I had asked him about conditioning and working me out, what he would do for me, and he asked me whether I had ever thought of taking some steroids. ... He just told me that he wanted me to get started on steroids and he had some other guys that were doing it. He told me that's how he's conditioning this guy that he met out of high school and college and he looked like he was going to be a star, keep an eye on him.''

I was just saying yesterday somewhere else that Pujols was next.

Is this the beginning of the end for him? This might even be messier than Lance Armstrong since "the Lord" will be so heavily involved. :rolleyes2:

Ha. Those were the words that jumped out to me as well.

Also, the trainer is now denying Clark's statements. So it's devolved into he said/she said. Great evidence.

I was about 20 when Clark joined the Red Sox. I remember going to the Fens and having a lot of fun shouting stuff like, "Hit it Faah, Jack Claaahk!"

We were, by far, the coolest kids at the park.

And back then, I always had the impression that Jack Clark was a complete idiot.

Well, I would say a smart man would not make about $ 16 mil playing basbeall, only to lose it all by buying new cars.

So Clark is also saying Verlander used as well. Not that he knows but says, "the signs are there"

Jack Clark has said so many ridiculous things about so many different players that it's almost an endorsement when he picks on someone.

Just curious but does this bias also apply to Phillies players? Do you think Ryan Howard juiced? Chase Utley with his 04-09 power stats?

Clark is an idiot. It's bad enough to call someone out based upon 2nd or 3rd hand info but to accuse someone you never played with or against and have absolutely nothing to base it on ? The signs are there. WTF does that mean ? JV has always thrown hard. He's 30 years old for crying out loud... in his prime. He hit 100 on the gun just the other day in the 8th. He's never had any noticeable muscle growth spurt. Anything is possible, but to sling completely baseless accusations is beyond irresponsible.

If Verlander is juicing, everyone is juicing. He wouldn't even be in my top 100 suspects

Whether or not Verlander has ever taken PEDs, this is just beyond ignorant.

“Verlander was like Nolan Ryan, he threw 97, 98, 100 miles an hour from the first inning to the ninth inning. He got that big contract, now he can barely reach 92, 93. What happened to it? He has no arm problems, nothing’s wrong. It’s just the signs are there. The greed ... they juice up, they grab the money and it’s just a free pass to steal is the way I look at it.”
