this one goes to Patrick Roy
I don't see how they even needed to do more than one nominee for this one.
Roy in a avalanche.
Babcock's fedora.
I'm sorry, I think it should be Babcock. Roy did a great job, but I have a feeling that Colorado regresses a lot next year unless they make some big changes.

Am I the only one who would vote for Cooper?
Tampa Bay was a basement team last year like Colorado, lost one of the league's best goal scorers for most of the year, had the most famous guy in franchise history traded away, and still managed to finish near the top in the East (when many thought they would slide out of playoff position altogether after Stamkos went down.
I think Roy and Cooper both had similar stories, but to me, Cooper had less talent and more adversity to deal with.
So next year, don't give it to him.
But for what he did this year, there is no one who is even in the same ballpark as Patty.

Still contend that what Babcock did was far more impressive. The Avs had the talent, they just crapped the bed last year. What the Wings were able to do was ridiculous.
You make a lot of good points for sure - I would go Patty as the winner, Jon Cooper at 2 and Mike Babcock at 3
But what Patty did with that Avs team was incredible - the start they got off to and the fact that he turned a defense that was atrocious the year before and turned them into a division winner with that defense was really incredible
