That is damn cheap for the talent Hickson has. In 29 minutes per game last year he averaged something like 13.5 and 11.

Good numbers, but Blazers weren't that fond of him

I think it had more to do with JJ not wanting to play behind Aldridge. He played Center most of the year for Portland and he's def. not a C at 6'9

This. Aldridge is entrenched as the starter and Hickson isn't a C. Hickson also didn't want to play backup to Aldridge.

Plus, Blazers just traded for Thomas Robinson so they probably figured they couldnt afford to keep him as a back up anyhow

No, it is something that somebody who thinks JJ isn't all that good would say.

If you don't think a guy who averages a double double in just 29 minutes is pretty good then IDK what to tell you.

Don't think that's the only reason, but playing Center may why he did well offensively.

yea, thats a head scratcher... Hickson has always been a solid contributor and if you can get that production in that amount of time, it would only leave other teams thinking, what could he do with more time on my team. I doubt anyone is thinking, who is this guy?

JJ Hickson is an energy guy who will grab boards, run the floor, score on dunks, and tip ins. He's like a poor man's version of Faried.

One could say that having those two on the same team would be redundant...denver might have been better off finding someone else to better compliment Faried rather than someone with a similar skill set.
