I hope Magadan gone after this year. Whatever he is selling, the rangers hitters aren't buying.

So how did our fans respond to Cruz tonight?

I knew he was going to take us yard sometime in this series... wasn't sure about Davis when we faced him last season and he struggled. Wouldn't be shocked if Cruz got us again... he's locked in bruised hand and all.

I bet we come back strong and win tomorrow. Okay... I hope that we do but the O's pitching has been worse than ours, so we have a good shot.

Rangers follow a Sunday shutout by allowing eight tonight.

Rangers have now allowed at least eight runs in 13 games. Most in baseball. Also lead majors with 11 shutouts.

This lines up with our conversation last night Dude

Yup, and looking at the box score, as much as we might want to, cant blame it on Saunders. Pitching just has to get more consistent. .. well more consistently good anyway.

We can complain about offence all we want but if we are giving up 5-6 runs on any given night, ya really just can't expect the offense to pull you out of it all the time.

Cruz looked better in LF than anyone we have been putting out there.

Elvis needs to be replaced as the #2 hole man. Makes no sense keeping him there when he can't drive the ball.

I know I sure do.

And I'm still fuming about his AB in the first yesterday. A walk machine on the hill who just gave a free pass to Choo and he swings at the first pitch. :gaah:

look around this team and tell me what ball you recommend. Who exactly is the mow cow here. Which guy will drive the ball in the gap with a runner at first? Does the manager almanac say only bunt a guy over 7th inning or later?

who hits 2nd? Rios? Martin? Maybe the catching position hits in the 2 hole each night? I've screamed at every manager and their decisions from time to time since I first started watching baseball. It is a right of passage for baseball fans in some degree, but with a few of you guys, it's either an agenda or baseball cluelessness.

From Cowlishaw:

The Rangers made Cruz a one-year qualifying offer (no one ever takes those), then made a multi-year offer during the winter, according to DanieIs. But it couldn't have amounted to much since Cruz signed with Baltimore for the low one-year rate.

Cruz said Tuesday that the Orioles' willingness to let him play the outfield was significant.

Cruz has served as Baltimore's DH 23 times and played in the outfield 32 times this season.

Still, I think when Cruz backed off his intention to appeal, the Rangers held it against him this winter. When asked how much that scenario played into the decision not to offer Cruz a bigger contract, Daniels said "not a lot.''

And if it's weighing the choice of trading Chris Davis and Tommy Hunter for reliever Koji Uehara in 2011 against letting Cruz go to Baltimore in exchange for a draft pick last winter, it's going to be hard for Daniels to win either of those battles.

For me, first, this is all about hindsight. Second, how much longer can the media keep writing/talking about this shit? That Davis/Hunter/Koji deal was accepted by most back then, primarily b/c we were trying to win a pennant. To bring up that deal at this late date is so lame IMO.

I really like Tim. But I'm calling :bullshit: on this one.

I think Atlanta is having worse results than we are in inter league games.

An agenda is a goal to get something done. What exactly are any of us individually, or collectively, attempting to accomplish here? Other than you that is.

Your agenda seems to be to illustrating how high handed you can act with some type of superior attitude.

Here's your icon for you to cast down on: you're :lame:

Interesting move. Sardinas looks like he can more than handle the defensive demands.

So this team can play without EA hitting in the number 2 spot after all.

The injuries have forced me to temper any expectations I had for the season. I will no longer allow wins and losses to have a cumulative affect on me. They aren't a good team after being ravaged by the DL. So I will find what little joy I can every 5 days when Yu pitches and when guys do awesome things here and there. It's sad to have wasted a year, but realistically they have a slight chance at the second wild card spot at this point. Just hope they don't go into buy mode and ship some of these bright young spots.

Tempered your expectations eh. How can we not? Been that kind of season, albeit, still early enough to have some light though.

But you know, just like tonight, I'm anxious to see Sardinas play at SS and how he handles the bat outta the # 2 hole. And it's a make it or be gone year for MM, do we really have 3 potential catchers now, will Martin continue to grow in center and become more disciplined at the plate, etc. Lord knows we're auditioning for the rotation long term.

Lot of things to keep us interested, at least I hope so.
