As long as we stay on a semi roll (7-4 on a long road trip qualifies) I'll keep setting the new threads if this doesn't offend anyone?

No offense to me, you and Darryl seem to have done as fine a job as anyone else. Would be nice to get on a bit of a home winning streak. What do you say we start Tuesday

Cannot let that go by without a thank you, Murph.

Watching a real doozie of a hockey game 7 with Kings and Blackhawks. Going to OT.

Should be an interesting week. Thursday is the MLB draft, I think. After that some team will decide on Morales. We sure could use the bat. Least make these games more exciting.

Terps keep us up on the draft, if you will.

I would like for us to get Morales. And for more than a year. Not sure how Fielder will be next year and if he is healthy then we have some pop from DH and 1b. And we need it.

I've been saying all year we need Morales. Glad to see people finally coming around to the idea.

You've been saying a lot of things all year. Most of them make us do this. :L

I would be all about us getting him too but I would be shocked if we did. He is liable to have a handful of suitors and I'm not even sure if we will be in the market for him- we would have to increase our payroll pretty significantly. Perhaps they would save a little money on these season at least though.

Sure thing DG you were the one that really got us rolling at one point. I believe the team won 9 out of 11 or 12 while you were starting threads for awhile and Don's work was adequate on the road trip. No problem with either of you guys carrying the load at this point. Now if either of you could start every 5th day I'd be more appreciative

With the numbers Cruz is putting up right now, I would not be surprised to see the O's try and lock him up for a few years, though if we could sign him as a FA at the end of the year for say 2 years at 13 million per I'm in. We could not pick up the option on Rios or trade him at the deadline this season and save what it would cost to add Morales and add some pitching depth for next season

DMN today:

A leadoff man with a broken face subbing for a guy with a sore ankle who had been scheduled to sub for the sore-ankled Shin-Soo Choo.

A vertically-challenged first baseman who hadn’t played the position at least since coach-pitch and maybe not that recently. Oh, and they batted him fifth.

And they still won.

Sunday marked the seventh time this season he has started after a Rangers loss. The Rangers are 5-2 in those games. In the only two losses, the Rangers have been shutout. Darvish has a 2.31 ERA in those games.

The secret to Darvish unlocking his full potential has been his better understanding of using the fastball as a weapon.

I can't recall Cruz starting off this hot for this long. Not sure what his final numbers will be but if he is close to the 40 HR mark it will cost too much.

Thanks.

And we do need to play better at home, no doubt about this.
