Even if everything Graham claims Djax said is true? I think Djax's silence since this began is pretty telling and I can't see Graham saying what he's saying w/o getting some type of OK,
League has a broad definition of tampering but they will pursue and penalize a team, especially when they feel they've got an open and shut case to send a message to the league. Look at Kansas City and Andy picking up Maclin. They got popped.

There's smoke here for sure. Whether the league would pursue, I dunno. But I think it's valid given sequence of events of stories with Brandon Graham's comments just the latest. Someone leaked to ESPN that Eagles would be interested in making a run at DJax, then you get DJax saying he's looking forward to FA and what happens, wouldn't be opposed to returning etc.

It is known I want DJax back as a priority. Think it laughable that some think he's easily replaced.

Come on Cali, you know we could stick any old 4.3 speed WR out there for $900k a year and replace Jackson.... Or so some would have us believe.

You know these two guys are much like Clark and Monk. Not exactly but there are similarities.

ehb, you will need 1980s highlight videos to see this. :thumb: It is good be young but then too if you were old like me it would mean it has been 25 years since you saw a Super Bowl winner. :gaah:

Fair odds that Jackson and Garcon go over 1000 yards receiving on Sunday. Both are in the top 30 in the league for reception yards at present. So it still makes me wonder how any one can say either is not producing, or that one is out producing the other. Both have a defined role in our offense.

Sportster... yea it does. But by the same token, I can appreciate where the players are coming from. Because it kinda irks me to know the Company COE makes 30X what I do and doesnt do half the real work

Yeah that was a tongue in cheek comment. Everyone should get paid their fair share. People like me miss 14 year vets that only played for your team. How long does Monte Coleman play in todays NFL? Or we miss being able to keep the best players for their entire career.

One thing about DJax that really hasn't been mentioned... If he goes somewhere there's a good chance (unless he returns to cali, which has also been speculated) he goes with a NFCE team. Imagine him on the Boys?! Sure don't want to see him 2x a year :tsk:

The Boys would have the same issue as Philly, only worse. Philly is just shy of $1m over for 2017

Dallas is $10.26M over at present.

Without doing some serious cap manipulation, I dont think Jax stays in the NFCEast unless its with Wash or NY

nfce teams pretty good at figuring out ways to get/keep players they want. Depends how much they want.

NO doubt. But I stick with my call that Jackson to Philly or Dallas wont be an easy fit cap wise. As I have said for quite a while, its not a matter of if we can afford to keep him. But rather a matter of if we want to keep him and if he wants to stay here. I expect he and Garcon will hit 1000 yards Sunday. Thats hardly the unproductive hacks some have claimed we are getting out of them.

I find it moooost interesting that we Finally have seen DJax more involved in the O these past few weeks. I do not think it is coincidence that he has seen more targets since all this philly stuff started leaking.

Never gave that any thought before. I have thought that while the games Djax missed last year as a Redskin are probably on him and his training regime or lack thereof if some reports are to be believed. I think whatever lack of production Djax has as a Redskin falls mostly on Skins QBing.

And while you may have a point about the reason for his increase in targets recently. I think another factor at play in the whole Djax thing is the way he sees himself perecived now by Philly and Skins fans.

He was my fave Redskin. While there are other players someone else could name far as falling into this category and they'd be a legit choice as well, Darrell Green, Dave Butz, Art Monk, a member of the Hogs. Monte Coleman to me more than any other Redskin player epitomized what the Gibbs 1.0 Redskins were about. Blue collar, grinder, smart, did his job, never flashy. His 16 years and 217 games played all as a Redskin are a big reason why.

I can't call it far as how long he plays today. I would opine he'd make a lot more money in a lot less time so I wonder how much if at all that would factor into it. I'd also opine that if he played even close to as long as he did. It would've been for numerous teams.

I also miss the days of pre-free agency in some ways as I liked rooting for the same players year after year. I guess one silver lining to those days being long gone is. I'd hate to root for an ass0 like Terrell Owens or Brett Farve for 15 yeasrs.

I would consider moving back to DC and buying season tickets again if we got a Dexter Manley type.... minus the off field issues and the inability to read beyond a cat in the hat level. Manley, Green, Monk, Riggo were my favorites. Two psycho's and two uber balanced types.

Monte liked to fish so I ran into him a number of times. Nicest guy but most of the Redskins of that era were. Manley was a favorite of mine also. He was a man with a great heart but he was like a hound dog that was loyal and good but just couldn't stay out of trouble. I have a hound for just that reason. I was also a big fan of Gary Clark.

I think that Cousins in his 2 year stint as starting QB is progressing. I think as time goes by he has not worried as much about getting the ball out quickly and has gone downfield more often. He actually throws a fairly deep long ball. I also think Reed being out of the lineup has been a big reason DJax has seen more balls lately. You can say the same for all the receivers.
