It's going to be really interesting tomorrow if Tennessee beats Florida. I've herd all along that a #1 seed, if not the #1 overall goes to Auburn, no matter what this weekend. But does it? If Duke and Houston win tonight, they are #1 seeds. Do you bounce the SEC champ to a #2 seed? Do you demote Florida, who are playing great but not the resume of Auburn. Auburn has been the best team overall since October but hey aren't playing well now. Duke is playing the best ball now but against the crapbag known as the ACC. It's like Drake standing on their conference play.

Nice to see St. John's back in the elite. i loved that 1984-85 team. Chris Mullin, Walter Berry, Bill Wennington, Mark Jackson, All were NYC HS kids, if I recall. This team is good. Seven points from being 34-0.

No real "bid steals" so far. UAB could be one if the beat Memphis. Memphis struggled against a mediocre Tulane. Does George Mason steal a bid if they beat VCU (who bought the refs against Bonaventure)? The Masons would be 27-7, VCU would be 27-7. I'd give them a berth over Indiana, but that's just me.

Right now, I think Houston is playing the best. Kelvin Sampson has led them to Elite 8 every year since 2019 (other that COVID year). Four straight 30 win seasons. But never a Final Four. They have four guards who can single handed wreck an opponent. But they are small. No regular over 6'7", no one who sees court time above 6'8". Duke is playing superb, even without Cooper "Randall" Flagg. But will the crummy ACC dull them (see Gonzaga for example). Florida is also hot, a real threat. But will the brutal SEC take its toll?
