Very nice win for the Gators over A&M by 19 points tonight, Gators controlled the game almost the entire way.

Unc with 5 wins in a row, 19-11 on the year but 16-13 squads and losing record in the mountain west teams like Boise state somehow have a better bubble chance at the dance. Such a crock of shit.

Boise is 13-5 in the MWC, hardly a losing record. And the MWC is about on a level with the ACC. And without Duke, the conference would be on a level with the Southland. Lets quit pretending that the ACC is an elite conference anymore. That being said, I think the Heels have played their way in since losing to Clemson (Boise kicked the shit out of Clemson, btw). They are whipping the dregs of the ACC but they should. As long as they beat Va Tech midweek. And they played a brutal schedule. #10 seed, could improve if they beat Duke or make a conference tourney run

3/1 recap (Part 1: Big bubble talk)

So we have a lot of bubble talk around North Carolina and Boise State (who both won yesterday). To start off this recap, let's look at the major conferences and see any bubble movement.

Mountain West:
Boise State, San Diego State, and New Mexico won; Colorado State defeated Utah State 93-66

ACC:
North Carolina and Wake Forest won, while Stanford defeated SMU and Pittsburgh lost to ranked Louisville.

Big 12:
Baylor won while Cincinnati and West Virginia both lost to ranked teams.

Big East:
Villanova won while Xavier got a big win over Creighton.

Big 10:
Indiana and Oregon won, while Nebraska suffered a brutal loss to Minnesota.

SEC:
Hooray for Vanderbilt! With their win over Missouri, the 'Dores are now IN the big dance. Also, Georgia pounded Texas while Ole Miss beat Oklahoma. And as for Arkansas... they lost to last place South Carolina. WHAT THE HELL?!

Right now, ESPN has three ACC teams going, Duke, Clemson and Looie-ville. 13 SEC, 11 Big 10. Butt they have Indiana going and that's a joke. Yeah, Indiana beat MSU on the road. And they beat Purdue. Hammered by Louisville, hammered by Gonzaga, hammered twice by a mediocre Northwestern. No way.

Michigan getting demolished by Illinois at Ann Arbor. The same Illinois that was demolished by Duke, Wisconsin and Michigan State. Not impressed with the B10. Sparty and Wisconsin are very good, Purdue and Maryland can be, the rest of the conference isn't a March threat.

I think we saw the best two teams in the Big 10 today when Sparty beat the Badgers, I could see Izzo and company going on a Final Four run again. But yeah the conference isn’t that deep

Dusty May has done a nice job making Michigan relevant again after the last two seasons. But 22-7 and last two games are Maryland and Michigan State. They could lose the double bye in the B10.

Just looking at mid-majors who could make waves. I would not want any part of Drake. 27-3 in the one bid MVC. But they played Miami, Vanderbilt and Kansas State. Yeah, big whoop over Miami but a middie that has experience against power conference teams is a good thing. And Drake has had back to back tournament trips. Experience helps. Probably a #12 seed but should be an #8 or #9.

Michigan St (24-5, 15-3) takes down Wisconsin (22-7, 12-6) 71-62.

Drake (27-3, 17-3) wraps up the MVC regular season with an OT win over Missouri St (9-22, 2-18) 68-60.

Memphis (24-5, 14-2) defeats UAB (19-10, 12-4) 88-81.

Memphis probably wins the American regular season. The American looks like a one bid, unless there's a tourney upset. North Texas is in 2nd, 21-6. But played a pitiful schedule (two non D1 opponents).

Yeah I didnt word that well. I meant teams with losing record in general in conference play like Georgia. They are 6-10 in conference. I don’t give a shit who you play, if you have a losing conference record you don’t deserve to dance.

I've thought the same thing. Having to be .500 or better juices up the regular season. A game between two 7-7 teams becomes a playoff game. And I think the SEC beside the top 4-6 are overrated. But there will always be a (justified) desire to have the best teams in the NCAA. For example, Stanford is 11-7 in ACC, Georgia is 6-10 in SEC. No sane person thinks Stanford is better than Georgia. The .500 rule rewards weak conferences.

No joke. I keep seeing Oklahoma (17-12, 4-12) as one of the last four in. GTFO. I'm an OU fan, but I'm also realistic. No way in hell they deserve to be in. They have wins over Arizona (19-10), Louisville (23-6), and Michigan (22-7)...but in the SEC it's gotten its asses kicked for the most part. Not good enough.

I'd rather teams like Akron (23-6), George Mason (22-7), San Francisco (23-8), UC Irvine (25-5), etc. get those spots.
