Its funny how people completely ignore the fact that we lost our entire coaching staff, 5 first round draft picks, our two starting CB's, our GOAT RB, and our most promising rookie in one offseason but refuse to acknowledge that maybe something other or as well as Kaepernick is wrong with this team. No... Its ALL Kaepernicks fault we suck. This team never had ANY chance this year, and anyone who believed it did was fooling themselves.

i think it is funny how you're taking this to the extreme? We ALL know it goes beyond Kaep, but it starts with him and takes the most "print space". No one player can change the offense, more than the QB. So if we're this bad already offensively, a change can't make it worse.

We're not always bad offensively, but it is the inconsistency of Kaep. His 'range' goes pretty low, and that is the issue. If he stayed consistently closer to his good games, we could live with it. But he goes down to the 'worse NFL QB performance of the week'.

It isn't just the kap's inconsistency, but the inconsistency of the offense as a whole. The offensive line is just as inconsistent. Kap played better against two of the worst pass defenses in the league. The oline played much better those games giving decent pass protection.

yes, there are other inconsistencies on this team. We know it goes beyond Kaep for sure.

Two good KNBR podcasts from the game. Greg Cosell had really good observations as always. Ted Robinson had some good insight this morning also. Because of the early Thursday game, he had time to review the entire game. While he didn't say so, I imagine he was reviewing game film and not the TV replay game.

then why do you keep arguing that Kaep is good (not great)? Cause a change at QB is really what everyone else is saying.

IF the rumors are true about the locker room, i'd make the change TODAY. Let Gabbert practice with the 1st team.
Im not u guys are thats the funny thing. U guys are arguing because of my list of changes that need to happen and u dont like that I didnt have kap as #1 on my list. I do think Kap can be good under the right core or group. He has proven that by winning when we had a good Oline and a Top D. Hence Superbowl and back to back NFC championship games. He is not a QB that can do it by himself.

Thank you. Winner winner chicken dinner. Thats what I been saying. they dont understand that this team has flaws and Kap is not the only problem. There are other changes that need to take place before getting a new QB. The team over all is a mess.

Yes finally we have people that see the light. Thank you. I been trying to tell these guys this. If they dont get it now they never will.

Deep is ok and understands it a little but the other 2 are clueless. They hate Kap so much that they cant see past Kap. Overall Kap can win but needs a good team around him. He cant lead a team. He has alot of flaws and for this team now he is not a good fit.

This team needs many changes. In my opinion it starts with the Oline and then the Coaching staff. Then let the new staff pick their QB. Plus we need to fix the worst D in football. i think that this can be fixed quickly. Just need to get a new DC and add a couple pieces. Right now Mangini has put this team in bad position. His scheme is bad and his game planning is bad. Hence 20+ plus plays given up more this year then the last 3 put together.

If you were to draft a QB and put him on this current team it would be Alex Smith 2006 all over again. That was the year he ruined his shoulder and basically missed a couple of years.

Yup we saw that movie before. i said that like 8 pages ago. Thats my whole point. We need to fix other needs so when its time to get a QB is has a supporting cast around him. We do not want to go through what we went through with Alex Smith.

Draft a qb first, cook or goff can sit a year while we look into the right side of the o-line because if AD comes back and performs at a high level then we have two tackles that are pretty good. Secondly you can find quality o-linemen in later rounds or free agency but your qb can make you o-line look better with quick passes and being able to manuver in the pocket. Cook or Goff will be an upgrade to kaepernick and no way we pay kaep 14 mil next year for him to play like he is playing. I would not be opposed to bringing in a journeymen qb while a new coaching staff installs their system.

Wow, are you seriously saying that you would have kaep over luck right now? Buddy you are one delusional guy.
He is a stone trip. He's funnin' with us though. He doesn't think Kaepernick is better.

I guess this is where the phrase "Love is blind" came from. Luck is struggling this year, but ask every gm (including Baalke) who they would rather have between Kap or Luck, they all won't think twice about picking Luck. It's a QB driven league and the Niners do NOT have a QB.
No question about it. Purguy is simply a fool with a child's crush on his hero..

I read that Detroit just fired their OC and their two OL coaches. Why can't we??? Even if we go with Gabbert, why throw him into the same lion pit?

Purguy: "Kap is fine, just need to build around him. He proved it the last 2 games before seattle."

Purguy: "I am also on board with benching Kap if he struggles this week against Rams. Something has to change."

Deep: "then why do you keep arguing that Kaep is good (not great)?"

Purguy: "Im not u guys are thats the funny thing."

LOL, did you see who their new OC is? They promoted their QB coach Jim Bob Cooter. No, I am not making up that name. I don't care who they fire, but what can be done midseason is limited. II don't think it's possible to bring in a new OC midseason and install a new offense
