Bosa was good not great his sophomore year , he had a great start last year but he also played the two worst P5 schools in the country and a decent TCU. Pretty small sample size of "elite " play vs bad teams to go 2 overall

Injuries were a big part of the reason I didn't like the Bosa pick, so I think it's fair to suspect that might be a problem (especially w/ how Joey's been so far). But it's not like he tore an ACL.

As much as I want to be wrong, I don't think the 49ers have much reason to worry. As a Seahawks fan it doesn't really change my opinion on the Bosa pick or my worry that the 49ers will be much better than Vegas predicts.

7.5 wins? That seems about right. Last offseason, I was telling people they're crazy for believing in the Niners. This year, at least they'll have a DL.

Jimmy will struggle coming back from an ACL and the Niners having done nothing to improve the OL (esp' at RG w/ suck-bag Mike Person and an aging Joe Staley at LT).

I think 8-8 is a good bet.

My thoughts are mostly predicated on Jimmy coming back healthy. He injured his ACL pretty early on so he'll have had a lot of time to recover. I liked the Bosa pick and the 49ers defensive line looks like it could be a force to be reckoned with, especially if Soloman Thomas takes a step forward. The offense also looks improved through adding Tevin Coleman - which I think was one of the best value signings in free agency - McKinnon coming back plus adding Deebo Samuel and Jalen Hurd also help.

You know the 49ers better than I do, but I'd probably put it at 8.5. For some reason I thought the over/under was 6.5 or something. I'd be surprised if they won less than 8 games and expect them to be very competitive even in the games they lose.

I have them at 7 to 8 wins too. Still have holes to fill. Secondary is still a big unknown
