Kyrie and LeBron are going to be going at eachothers throats in this game thats for sure.

I honestly think LeBron will make an MVP push this year. I think he wants to show everyone out there he is still The King and that losing Kyrie is no sweat off his ass- even if it really is.

I think LeBron gets his 5th MVP this year, his 4th ring, and becomes ARGUABLY the GOAT.

I think this team will get rid of guys like Shumpert and Irving who are more out for themselves and their brand--- and have everyone on the same page.

I dont think everyone was on the same page last year- ESPECIALLY hearing all the rumblings about Kyrie not even talking to teammates during the playoffs.

And this everyone is an example of wishful thinking and reaching.

the trade was for the pick and to ditch kyrie. thomas was an ancillary piece.

so isaiah thomas sucks now?
no, he was an ancillary piece in the trade. the deal was for the pick, but cleveland wanted a usable body back for kyrie.

problem is, he may not be usable.

@rockstrongo quotes from recently on IT and the trade:

not a max, but i can see 3 years @ 20-25 .his hip will be fine. hes always had a weird hip.

this is touchy, because danny finally made a real trade instead of trying to r*pe another team like he always looks to do.
wic had to get involved...my guess...for that exact reason. "dont fuck around danny, make them a fair deal".
thomas' hip will be fine. they'll add another small piece.

any updates? all i see is a deadline set.
this is becoming hot news here:
NBA reporter 'wouldn't be surprised' if Cavs planned this drama from start

This hip injury is looking bad. 6 months recovery time if he needs surgery (and it's looking like he will)?

i thought he was fine and the Cavs were scum for taking their time to evaluate. :rolleyes2:
I don't know about anyone else - but the words or phrase "I'm trading this injured player" Is a big red flag that says - Alert - Alert - They might be trying to screw you. I am not one who called the Cavs scum for taking their time to evaluate - in fact they absolutely did the right thing.

itll be just that much more satisfying when LeBron and Isiah embarrass the Celtics again in the spring for the 3rd year in a row.
That might happen this year, but here is the thing: We both know that LeBron is out of Cleveland next summer and most likely won't even say good-bye. He might give Gilbert the Bronx cheer though. In the mean time - The Cavaliers will drop to a lottery team and Boston will be in a good position in the playoffs because Irving basically got tired of the LeBron game

All the more reason why Boston should not have traded him.

They dealt their BEST player at a moment in time where he had zero trade value. That is terrible asset management.

If they get to keep Irving and he resigns with Boston next summer, they will have scored. Everything is a risk.
