Is TT a 'must-win' game?

I hate to think this way, but I feel it is.

WVU has to get to 6 wins this year to be bowl eligible. They are favored in this road contest, and likely will be favored at Texas and ISU later in the season.

But, with games against BU, TCU, KSU and Okie St... all ranked... it is hard for me to see a win against any of these teams.

KSU is playing lights out on defense... as is TCU. Okie St is a winnable game, but it is on the road.

Tough sledding ahead. I wish WVU was back in the Big East. They would have smooth sailing...

We need to beat the teams we should beat. Lose this one makes a bowl unlikely and puts Dana back on the hot seat.

The last two years we fell apart against this team and never recovered.

I call it a must win.

I would say it is a must win game if we are to salvage this season. If we are ever to compete for championships, conference or national, then all of our games will need to be “Must Win” games. As for being back in the Big East , No.

Not sure many will expect us to beat BU. Likely to be home underdogs...

Tomorrow will be quite revealing. WVU has yet to face a passing attack as good as TT's. It will be interesting to see how they look...

Baylor, Alabama, Oklahoma and TCU are all top 10 teams. Ok State and KSU are in the top 25. Really all of these are must win games. Unlikely, but we could still win the B12. This team has shown that they can compete with anybody. Losing to teams in the bottom half of the B12 will really hurt and could keep us out of a bowl.

My point is they are all must win from day one, whether your a underdog or favorite every game is a must win in today version of college football.

I think we will win this game, but if we don't we cannot think the rest of the season is over cause then it will get really ugly. All the remaining teams have weaknesses just like WVU.

Of course I understand the coach speak... every game counts... every game is a must win situation.


But, you don't wanna lose to teams you should be beating...

I realize OU lost to TCU but I don't beleive they are a better team...TCU won in an UPSET!...I strongly believe Wv has played and was more than competitive with the two toughest games on their schedule
( Should have Beaten Alabama)...there is not a game left on their schedule they can't win...IMHO it won't be an upset when they do!!

The TT game will challenge our pass defense. Have the LB's learned the depths required to drop to make a difference in crossing routes? Can our safeties do a better job in Cover 2 than they did against Maryland?

The test TT provides will show us a glimpse of how the defense might do against Baylor, Okie St and TCU.

I am unsure of the secondary's confidence. Have they forgotten last year? Will they lose confidence if TT makes a few big plays?

Some questions will be answered tomorrow. I think this is a really big game for this team!
