According to Bob McKenzie:

#Flames acquire F Roman Horak & two 2nd round picks from the #NYRangers for negotiating rights for Tim Erixon

I must say, I absolutely despise (unproven!) players holding teams ransom.
pay your dues, bitch!!

that goes for Umberger, Lindros, and hell even for Mario's little show of power at his draft.

Sather can't draft well, so he has to tamper with other teams picks...No wonder I hate the Rags!

I don't blame Feaster (unlike that Oilers troll Dan Tencer), it's pretty clear that Tim Erixon didn't want to play in Calgary (much speculation that he was disappointed when he was drafted by Calgary two years ago).

Considering Erixon was going back in the draft in 45 minutes, I would say 2 2nd round picks and a prospect was not too bad of a return.

/That said, screw you Tim Erixon and I hope you learn quickly under the tutelage of Wade Redden...

anything better than pick #53 was a win for fester.
rags apparently would have had him ranked top 10 in this draft, and cgy made them pay to lock him up.

Blake Kessel & Jason Gregoire have said they're turning pro & it looks like they're using the Blake Wheeler rule to become UFA's. It looks like two Isles prospects will be signing elsewhere.

That's a real shame for you guys, Gregoire looked fantastic in the tourney the last few years.

/pick up that phone, Ken...

It happens. Teams can't sign everybody. I think this is more about Kessel & Gregoire wanted more than they're worth. I don't know if this came from Gregoire's agent or Jason himself, but the word is Gregoire wants a one way contract.

I wouldn't be surprised if Blake Kessel ends up in Toronto for obvious reasons.
