Well, even at 2-0 the sky shouldn't be falling in the least bit. Do we have a lot to clean up, yes. Have we put ourselves in a bind to this point, a little bit. Is the season over, not even close. I think that the best anyone could have truthfully hoped for was being 1-1 by the time we made it back home, but nobody should be shocked that we are 0-2. The saving grace to it all is that not only could we have won both of those games, but IMO, it was the Hawks that stumbled to their defeats just as much as it was either St. Louis or GB that beat them. To me this says that with improvement to the talent on this roster we can still beat anyone in this league. Don't get me wrong, it's on the the entire organization to pull their head out of their asses to right this ship. Just don't allow an 0-2 start dictate an assumption that all of a sudden we are being led by Jim Mora & TJ Whosyourmama, this team is still one of the best in football that saw some of their upcoming matchups become much more manageable. First on the docket, a Chicago Bears team that lost their mediocre QB headed to the Clink for the Hawks home opener. I expect improvement, the 12th man at it's best, and the first of many victories in the weeks to come. This is far different than the Mariners expectations and actual production, the Hawks are true title contenders and will right this ship soon enough.

Fixed it. Don't we WISH for 2-0 right now.

These guys have got to get it into their heads that the instant they get the lead is no excuse for the defense to go all lax and give it up right away. That's the Mariner Way, not the Seahawk Way. And yet, so it was late against the Rams, so it was in the third quarter against the Packers.

(Damn you, Kam; I hope you get seriously booed no matter where you play next!)

They also need to get it into their heads that when one player is absent, they ALL need to step up, not just whoever is filling their position.

Finally, they need a new playbook. It's too early to consider canning defensive coaches or whatever, just being two games in, but when something just isn't working, it's time to set your sights on other options.

Unlike how it was in baseball when Jack zzzzzzzzzzz was GM'ing, I don't think they've totally quit just yet. But it's not looking good.

Sky isn't falling, plenty of football left to be played.

If we don't kick the Bears up one side of the field and down the other I will be worried. Until then? Eh. We are seeing sloppy football, but outside of the OL I don't see anything that can't be fixed.

Our offense needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. I fully expect them to struggle as against the bears.

You must have been away for the last 3 years. Nothing needs to be rebuilt. We played 2 very tough games against 1 playoff contender and 1 team that always looks like one against us.

The OL needs to play much better, yes, but that's not a full offensive rebuild. Michael Bennett needs to learn how to stay on our side of the ball. Other than that, step back from the ledge and relax. We will pound the Bears into the turf Sunday. It won't be pretty for them.

Maybe. If anything, it's the DEFENSE that might need a rebuild more.

The sky isn't falling. With Romo going down it's going to be GB and a scrum for everything else. It's going to be a real ugly season in the NFC and it wouldn't surprise me if 11-5 gets a FRB.

Why don't this team blitz? Collinsworth said it nicely last night, this team just settled into a traditional defense and simply does not blitz.

For better or worse the team didn't want to expose Shead and Williams one on one against Rodgers.

No, ive been at every home game since 1997. 6 yaers cable has had to build an OL and failed miserably. 5 years under idiot bevell and our offense makes the same mistakes it always has and sputterz along in the first half and fails to convert in key situations. Its time to dump them, upgrade the ol with real draft picks no dlineman, and dump the slow wrs and find ones like lockett.

They do blitz (TD against the Rams), but they don't blitz against Rodgers because he'll potentially eat you alive.

But no, we've never been blitz happy under Pete, and why would that change?

Sadly there's that annoying little thing called a cap, makes total rebuilds tough to do.

And do you want to spend more high picks on O-linemen, and give up the defensive focus? Can't have our D, and the Cowboys line, not enough high picks avaliable.

The dline as oline experiment hasnt worked out, 6 years is long enough. Time to move on and draft talented linemen in high rounds not guys that leave everyone scratching their head.

I think we'll be just fine. Started slow last season and the NFC is wide open except maybe GB locking up the NFCN already. Lots of football left, just need to clean up the mistakes.

The sky is falling. OMFG our o line is porous. If we had any not so mobile QB he would suffer a short career. And Lynch is not effective. Sort of like a few seasons ago when he had a hard time piling up yards. They got young guys. Hopefully as the season goes on they get better together.
And trade Kam. The team will benefit for years to come by standing their ground.

Sounds like Cutler will be inactive for the game.

Our offense will struggle like usual, then turn it on when absolutely necessary, then struggle some more.

Our defense will play fine im sure.
