Fuck that shit. Smith started, he won those games just as much as any other player on the team. More so in fact because the QB gets the credit in good or bad. When he was losing for the first 5 eyars I bet people didnt say defense and kicking was the reason you guys were losing.

Seriously, how many Alex Smith games have you ever watched?

I'm guessing one. The NFCD round last year.

No I am saying the QB gets credit for the win just like every other guy on the team. You cant have it both ways. Either everyone on the team gets the credit for wins and losses or they don't. You dont get to blame a guy when you lose but give him no credit when you win. The guy has thrown 30 TD's and 10 INT's in the last 26 games. He has a top 10 QBR in that time frame as well. The theory that "anyone" could do that is fucking preposterous. Im not saying the guy if a HOFer but over the last year and a half he has been a top 10 quarterback in the league.

Wow, I stand corrected. I don't think you've seen him play a single game.

Manning
Brady
Manning
Brees
Rodgers
Ryan
Roethlisberger
Flacco
Stafford
Cutler
(In no particular order)

Since we're including this year, Luck and Griffin are also outplaying him. Last year, Newton outplayed him, and over both years, Romo is at least a push.

How anybody who has seen Alex Smith lead the league in three and outs can call him a top-10 QB is beyond me. Especially when he plays in a system that asks him to do nothing at all. Whoops: *played, and *asked.

I don't see why it's so outrageous to think that any QB good enough to be in the NFL can't either, 1). dump off to the outlet valve, or 2). take a sack.

What's fucking preposterous is that you think you know this team better than its own fans.

I wouldn't argue Flacco or Smith, but Flacco's not top ten. Maybe it's the OC they just fired, but he's been off and inconsistent, especially this year. I would definitively put RGIII in his place. Matt Schaub, if healthy, is playing a little better I think, but I don't know if he is better. Rivers is not playing better, but he was once better and plays better often. Nothing really against Flacco, it's just that he said he was the best QB, people have kept saying this was his year, and that I don't want Jim's brother winning it all.

Okay, take Flacco out. Add Schaub.

Either way, Smith is a middle of the pack QB at best.

Alex Smith has become belligerently overrated on this board. People here have officially fallen into insanity.

I'm seeing the same thing with my friends. One guy said he wasn't sold on the Kaepernick experiment, with the reason being that his rookie mistakes will not help the niners win down the stretch or in the playoffs. People like that are giving Alex Smith's experience a bit too much weight in those areas.

That's a new one. Not sure it has any contextual relevance here or makes any sort of linguistic sense but its a new one.
