Is Steve Kerr essentially done in this league?

Kerr is fine. He made some mistakes but it happens. Losing Bogut screwed up his lineup. Cavs had trouble with Bogut in the game. Once he got hurt Kerr had to come up with a lineup that felt right. Problem is he doesnt have a back up Big.

GS had a combined +/- of -25 with Bogut in. He had one "good" game in this entire series.

The NBA has always been a hot-bed of garbage-assed coaches getting chance after chance, and given that Kerr has already proven beyond any doubt that he's at the very least "competent", I can't take your comments any other way, they're dumb. Is Popovich a crap coach because of what happened in the 2014 Finals, where he took Duncan out and Miami got that crucial rebound for the Ray Allen 3? Of course not. I think Kerr's love affair with the 3 point shot was their undoing last night...it's great when it working, but when it's not, they really don't have a plan B...When Thompson and Curry are not hitting 3s, GS is a pretty average team from what I could see.

They have zero post game, and aside from Green or the occasional cut to the basket, they don't attack the glass...it's a pick and pop game, if that's not there, they set back picks off the ball to free up...another jump shot.

But, as poor a fit as Bogut was for this series, Bogut is also a hell of a lot better than Ezeli and Varajao. So, yes, losing Bogut hurt them.

To your point though, failure to minimize Big lineups hurt them even more.

Yes a lot better and we saw that. Also Green playing Center for more mins hurts. Damn in game 5 Barnes was the Center. So please stop saying it didnt matter. No one is taking away credit from the Cavs. I posted that this was the best Championship. I just want to see rd 3 and both team are healthy. How much fun that would be. Last time I checked both team beat each other in the Finals.

They won those in spite of him. They were 25 points down with him on the floor. Do you know what that means? You comparing his injury to Kyrie's last year is ridiculous, but you've never been one for making sense.

We agree 100% on them not getting to the paint...They've taken a lot of what I considered contested 3s all series...and some of them they made...the "quick release" was brought up many times on defended shots, but we're (the people I was watching with) like that still was a bad shot even though they made some...so that's not something new....Curry took 19 FGA, 14 of them 3s...Thompson 17, 10 of his were 3s....1 FTA between the two of them...1....how many times did we see Irving attack the glass? Half dz at least.

CLE was killing the east (especially ATL) from 3...but they curtailed the 3s a great deal in this series, why? Because they were not hitting them like they were earlier in the playoffs...be it better perimeter D by GS or whatever...they had a plan B.
