Goodell isn't going anywhere. We've seen how many owners come out in support of Goodell during this whole investigation. Owner's love a commissioner who tries to knock down the Patriots.

It's all about money and winning in this day and age. Goodell's pseudo-investigation was full of procedural errors and cost the league millions of dollah, and he lost the most important battle. I doubt any owner with common sense would back Goodell now in his crusade against Brady, it's a mundane transgression that was blown out of proportion. Roger must have guaranteed the owners it was a done deal, now, not so much. Roger fucked it up, worse than Brady did.

They would be making money without Goodell, the NFL has been growing exponentially worldwide, despite of Roger. It has been happening for years. The NFL has die-hard followers in more than 100 countries, that is the future growth, most of those fans have no idea who Goodell is, and the poorly judged decisions he has made.

Goddell won't be canned....yet...even though he absolutely should be. He did one really important thing really, really well. He negotiated the CBA in about as good a manner as could be expected. His deplorable treatment of a lot of other subjects, such as his clownish treatment of bounty and deflate "scandals", in which the real scandals are actually his own mismanagement, is secondary.

However, it is precisely the integrity of the CBA that will ultimately be when and why the league will ultimately toss Goodell. There is zero...absolutely zero...good faith left in the bank of the players association. Goodell has a good business mind and made $$$ for the owners. He is imcompetant when it comes to managing league discipline and continues to embarrass himself whenever he tries to wield justice. He needs to hand this over to a more qualified person or he will become the former commissioner before too long.
