If Alabama were ranked outside the top 25 and were in the playoffs, then that's one hell of a Cinderella story.

Obviously I'm joking about them being a Cinderella team but I need something to pass the time til Saturday.

I'd call them more of a Pocahantas story

I know my Illini beat you all up in Sparty and they didn't hit some gifted free throws at the end. Still don't understand our mess of program. So much talent in IL.

Everyone beat MSU before midFebruary. I think we lost to Texas Southern early on. I thought we weren't going to make the tourney.

All of the talent out of Chicago is leaving the state. Duke, Kentucky, Kansas. Almost none of it is coming up to East Lansing.

If it were any other 7 seed (VCU, Iowa, Wichita State) they would be considered one. As someone said in another thread, it feels awkward to call them one.

Michigan State deserved a higher seed than 7. They are much better than the selection committee gave them credit for.

I had to drive my kids home to their mothers house, and she lives 2+ hours away. Wanted to watch the game first though. I think State was up by like 12 points with 5 minutes to go, didn't think even we could blow that lead. Started getting everything ready; shoes, coats, back backs etc came back and they were still up like 10 points with 2 minutes left.

I take the kids home and come back to check brackets and see State lost by 11 points. It was hard to comprehend.

MSU is NOT a Cinderella.

They are a team that lost games they should have won during the season because they can't shoot free throws worth shit and lost Dawson for a stretch. No power conference team in their 18th straight tourney can be a 'rella.

I think only Northwestern, Rutgers, Penn State and Nebrasketball are eligible for the glass slipper out of the BIG. Maybe Minnesotta, but they were good once or twice back in the day.
