Is MHSL82 going to make a game thread for the Family Guy - Simpsons crossover episode tonight?

Ok. I'll wait for you to post comments, then I will too.

Too bad we don't have spoiler tags. Other vBulletin boards have them.

I'll get back to this. Do you know how hard it is to watch an hour show when you have two kids? I already commit time to the NFL and kids movies.

That's fine.

I would struggle with kids movies or TV shows. There would be some I can't get into at all, or would dislike the message or stereotype.

Have you watched this yet? Is it still on your DVR?

It was ok, for the most part. I like the Simpsons and I like Family Guy, but for this episode, I like the parts that were "too Simpson-y" and disliked the "too Family Guyish" parts. Don't remember specifics.

I liked Family Guy when it was funny for the sake of being funny, controversial, gross, or what. But when it was controversial to be controversial or gross to be gross, I didn't. It was stretching. Just be funny, I don't care if it also happens to be controversial or gross. They took the fact that they were un-cancelled as a reason to go further. They should have just taken it as people asking them to stay the same. Part of comedy is pushing the boundaries, as are most creative things, but it became repetitive, predictable, and boring. But that's what happens anyway, Simpsons isn't as good as it used to be, but better than 3-5 years ago, I hear.

Thanks. I'll try to remember what my thoughts were about the episode, within a few days.

I agree, I usually don't like humor that is heavily focused on being controversial or shocking.

I also agree the Simpsons the past 2-3 years is better than it was from about 2003-2009.
