Or is there still a chance for him to pull it out.

If not, who will be the next head coaching mistake USC makes????

Acting AD said he was not going to make any changes, so I guess it'll be up to the next AD...

What year is this for him?

No way he's done, losing to the Irish on the road, with what he's accomplished so far this year. He does need to figure out the road woes they have right now.

The majority of his losses are 1 score affairs. He needs to learn how to finish.

From what they dealt with in the years leading up to his tenure, I would hope they practice patience and give him the support he needs. How much does his staff make?

The way USC does their hiring process lately, watch them offer it to Mark Sanchez.

I would say if loses to the Irish and then to Arizona next week at home I think his seat might be hotter

Guy is on his 3rd QB but it seems he has lost his fan support. This really depends on who the AD is and my guess is that guy will want his own guy in.

The problem is who do you hire? The talent pool is shallow and it’s expensive to live in LA. You can make a lot less in other parts of the country and clear more without the aggravation.

Injuries and USC is dealing with NCAA sanctions. Guy needs 2 more years.

The fact that the interim AD isn’t doing anything speaks pretty loudly. I’d wager the new AD is going to have a mandate to make a home run hire so Helton is already a dead man walking.

At this point every game for him is a job interview somewhere else

I've heard some in the media claim that USC may be able to get Stoops to coach them. I'm not sure I'm buying that

Assuming we lose today, it depends, imo. Go on a run, maybe win the PAC or at least get to CCG and he may be safe for another year. Especially considering the QB injuries.

Either way, nothing is going to be done until a new AD is hired. As someone already mentioned, the interim AD has said he won't make a decision on Helton.

That's probably the smartest coaching decision they've made since Pete Carroll (even that wasn't as much smart as pure luck).

What coach that's worth a damn is going to want to take a job where he doesn't know who the AD will be?

Hire the AD and let that person decide Helton's fate.

Any chance they send a bus to pick up Kiffen before Tennessee does?

Helton's recruiting class last season was one of the worst in USC history and this year's class doesn't look to be any better. Part of that is on the SC beat writers who have had Helton fired for the past two seasons. Recruits aren't going to commit to a program that they have no clue as to who will be coaching.

I’m terrible at that but my gut says it will be closer than I would like.
This game got me really worried with Hayes & Crawford out.

SC has three NFL-future WRs and if we don't chase Slovis it could make for a longggggg evening for Irish fans.

Hopefully, the D is ready for this one and it's nice to get Armstrong back - finally.

Crawford more then Hayes. Not a lot of drop off with Jamir Smith from Hayes, but Crawford will be missed.
