I truly had a hard time with my vote this time. Brady is one of the top of all time and another SB win might just push my vote. I still have issues from way back about him being 'untouchable' and the 'tuck rule' so my vote still leans to no at the moment.
That's kind of an ignorant way of looking at things. Because a rule, even though a stupid rule was properly enforced that's sways your thinking? Too funny. Guess you better take away any greatness associated with controversial calls like the immaculate Deception or the Fail Mary...at least these were/are controversial. A rule being enforced, not so much.

The Tuck Rule? When before or after was this ever used?

Brady got caught cheating, he plays on a team that has been caught cheating. He should not ever get into the HoF and therefore not the GOAT.

I've always said Montana is the best ever but if Brady wins this season (no gimme since I think the Steelers beat them) Brady gets his due if he gets another title.

Untouchable? Apparently you have seen some of the hits he has taken during his career, and if you are referring to calls for roughing, that has nothing to do with him. It's what the league wants across the board.

Why would the tuck rule have any impact on your thought process. It was an actual rule that was correctly applied, wtf does that have to do with Brady?

Can you list the cheating that you are referring against Brady so we can take a look at it?

Thanks in advance.

Someone already mentioned the 2001 regular season game when it was used against the Pats, it was also used in a playoff game in 2011 between the Chiefs and Ravens. Obviously these don't get as much press because one was a regular season game, and the other occurred in the midst of a non-competitive game.

Brady has too many things working against him to be considered the GOAT

-Manning 5 MVP's in same era as Brady
-Rodgers will end up with more MVP's
-Every SB win has cheating allegations with spygate and deflategate
-Game losing int's that ended their playoff games
-Most clutch kicker of all time
-Only thrived under a check down system with the GOAT NFL head coach
-Put up mediocre numbers first 6 years starting in his career.
-Many top ten defenses on his team including several that were #1 in PPG allowed
1. An award that goes to the best stat-compiling QB or RB. Of course Manning is going to have more of those seasons throwing in a dome and to better offensive talent.
2. Rodgers could very well end up being the greatest of all time. He has to put together some playoff runs that Montana and Brady had though. Right now, his one Super Bowl run, his defense had to bail him out in the NFC Championship Game. And we don't know that he will end up with more MVPs than Brady.
3. Are we talking about your POV or the public's?
4. What games are you talking about? And is this any playoff game they lost when he had a pick? Every QB would be off the list if that's the criteria
5. Who missed two field goals in one Super Bowl, and hit just a 22-yarder in another.
6. A head coach who had three number one pick QBs prior to Tom Brady and won 1 playoff game
7. Mediocre? From 2001-2006 he led the league in TDs once, led in yards once, and had an 88.4 passer rating when the league average in that span was 78.2. That's 13% above the league average, or the equivalent to a 99.0 passer rating this year. Brady had a better passer rating in his first 6 years than Manning did in his first 6 years.
8. "Several" is two number 1 defenses in points allowed. And in 3 of the 4 Super Bowl runs, the defense gave up 27 points in at least one game, and the offense had to bail them out. Peyton had 7 top 10 defenses and went one and done in 5 of those years, Montana (like Brady) never won a Super Bowl with a defense ranked lower than 8th in points allowed per game (and 3 of the 4 were ranked 3rd or higher). Montana also had a top 8 defense in every year with the 49ers except once. And they missed the playoffs. Brady took the 15th ranked defense in points allowed per game (31st in yards) to the Super Bowl.

Was that before or after spygate years?
From 2001-2006, the "Spygate years" or whatever, the Pats were 41-17 in games played outside the division. Winning % of .707 which was the best in that time period.

From 2007-present, the "post Spygate years" or whatever, the Pats were 79-21 in games played outside the division. Winning % of .790 and by FAR the best in that time period.

They weren't.

54.6% comp

4.9% int

190.7 yards per game

78.2 PR

290/253 td/int (wtf)

118 wins

Now that's not to say he wasn't tops for his time. The picks and the low completion rate is a bit of a concern.
To be fair, the INT% for the duration of his career was 5.6% and his was 4.9%. But overall, his passer rating was pretty ridiculous for his time. The league average from 1956-1973 was 64.1 and his was 78.2. That's 22% above league average, or the equivalent of a 106.9 rating this year for the duration of his career. There's a reason he was top 5 in passer rating in 10 different seasons.

Which is my point, he was great for his time, but lacking compared to what the game has become. Just because someone is no longer considered the GOAT doesn't take away from their greatness of when they were at one time.

But great for your time is what really matters, since that is the competition you have to face in order to win a championship. Brock Osweiler would have a top 10 or top 5 passer rating in most years in the 50s, doesn't mean compared to them he was a top 5 or 10 QB. He sucks.

Patriots Tom Brady Now Has More Playoff Wins Than 85% of NFL Franchises! And More TB Fun Facts

Wonder why other teams and their fans hate him so much?
I can't just ignore facts that are blatantly wrong. So here goes:

1. 7 teams are listed out of the 31 franchises, 24/31 is 77%, not 85%.
2. Denver has 23 wins also, so he would be tied with the Broncos. So it's really 74%.

It's still ridiculous what this team has done in the last 15 years.

If you have not already read about you must not be able to read. Thanks for the cliche comment. You are a good sheep.
