Yeah it's not like I dislike Colin but he is very stubborn especially with this "Baker feud". He could win 5 SB's and he will never admit he was wrong. It seems like when he DOES admit he is wrong there is always a BUT or he says well I said this too so I was only partly wrong. Any big subject that was very adamant about for a long time, he won't admit it. All that being said, there are a ton of his takes that I completely agree with and his analogies are insightful.
I loved that baker interview

he looked great, i watched the game.....

hard to say that after his last 3, and really 5 of his prior 6.

I still like and believe in baker
thought he was damn good other than a couple passes in preceding 2 games, but whatever.

Most importantly during those bad weather games he didn't turn the ball over. I wasn't really that concerned with those games otherwise.

In his last 3 non shittastic weather games his rating is north of 120

Granted two of those games are the Bengals and eagles
Been pretty damn good in the 3 you mentioned. 66-90, 889 yards, 11 TD, 1 INT

Bad pass defenses but still a wow. Others have faced those teams (Jville, Cinci, TN) and not done nearly as well.

Bust? No.

JaMarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf...those are busts.

Star level QB they thought they were getting when they drafted him #1. Also, No.

He's a good, starting quality NFL franchise quarterback. Give him good weapons like he has now and call a game that allows him to use them and you can make the playoffs and even win a Super Bowl with him.

But he's not going to carry a team to the Super Bowl.
Not sure he'll carry a team to the SB either, but not many QBs can without help from the D, running game or weapons (and our D is pretty bad).

FYI, without OBJ (never mind he's better without him) his weapons are Landry, Higgins, Taywan Taylor, Peoples-Jones and Khaderal Hodge. Hooper a decent TE but hasn't done a lot this season (and missed a bunch of games).

Can’t wait to hear Cowherd’s excuse. Well...Chubb set up the passing game. Nope. He will probably go back to the cop out...TEN is not the team we thought, overrated lol

I think Cowherd has been right on with Baker. The biggest reason for the turnaround is, as Colin pointed out, is a coach who knows what they are. A run first team that puts Baker in position to excel, not a pass first team that has Baker throwing 45x a game. I think knowing who you are as a team is vitally important, it’s why the Pats are 6-6 with a totally talentless roster and a QB with more wins than TD passes

TBF there aren't many QB's that can carry a team to a SB. I do believe he can carry the team from time to time bc we saw it last game but remember he is only in his 3rd year and I saw a big step this year for the simple fact he is making better decisions and taking care of the ball. Top 10 QB? Nope but if he continues to improve he has the arm talent to become a top 10 QB one day.
no question...maybe sooner rather than later. look at the improvements just this year? Earlier games like Indy and WFT he was a big reason they came back with INTs when trying to do too much when safer play was there for him.

Baker is actually learning. His confidence is unshakable. He will be ok.

He's playing well but he can always revert back to form....and their schedule isn't very easy either.

Baltimore and Pitt plus games vs a resurgent Giants team that has been playing good defense and the Jets who are going to be trying to win a game so they don't go 0-16.

Seems like with no OBJ he's improved

Bingo!

don’t underestimate the damage a diva WR can do to a young QB. Baker so obviously made a ton of mistakes trying to force the ball and keep OBJ happy last season

I can see them winning 1 of their final 4 and finishing 10-6.

Just like Brady to AB.

Look at the Browns with OBJ and the Buccs with AB compared to not having them

Baltimore next week, not playing good football, another big step forward for the Browns next week if we are to take them seriously

Giants getting Peppers and draft capital for OBJ has been so vital to them steering this team in the right direction

Yep. Mayfield & the Browns got some proving to do next Sunday. Are they for real? Not sure yet. For obvious biased reasons I'd like to say they are. But I can't say it yet. Just hoping they get some payback this upcoming weekend.
