Nobody gets men fired quite like Baker.

Guessing he maxes out at four HC's as a starter.
If anything, he prolonged Hue keeping his job. Williams was not fired as a HC. Stefanski not fired. So you think Freddie should have been retained?

Heisman winners often do poorly when they come from top flight program and were supported by great lines and receivers and end up being drafted by poor teams. Bad offensive teams don't need QBs with the first round pick, they need better linemen.
Will have to see how Burrow does on a bad team. Seems like a good kid so wish him well. But he was not pressured at LSU as he will be in the NFL.
Baker set rookie QB records (and line among best in league when he was a rookie) and Murray was/is pretty good.

Too early to say he sucks. It's tough to gauge how much of this is Baker suckage vs Browns dysfunction. I'm in the latter camp. For now.

I don't think a shit game against the Ravens is really the time to be bumping this thread. Lot of QBs, good ones even, are gonna look like garbage this year against them, imo. If he shits the bed against the Bengals, then yeah, he'll deserve more heat.

Right, the Ravens could very well have the best defense in the NFL. But watching the game the thing I have an issue with is his accuracy when he had time and had windows for guys. You ccan't be late on a slant one step drop w/ the WR wide open, too many easy misses. Too inconsistent. We will see.
More about his decision making and vision as a QB, he is STILL in the learning process it seems. Baker has been put on the hot spot more than any QB I have seen in awhile, some of it he put on himself but some is undeserved bc it's the Browns. Only time will tell, give it 15 more games.

Yeah his career total 43 tds/28 int in 41 games and 87.5 proves it. Lamar is already at 45/8 in 23 games 106.8 rating
That MVP trophy reminds me of RG3 also.

I think he would've kept coaching if his QB won games.

He's going to bust. But the poor guy is on his fourth coach.
Maybe he is part of the reason that they are on their 4th coach...

Forth coach. And on his third offensive system in three years. Mayfield's a jackass. But most (if not all) QB's would struggle going through that much change in that short of time.

I'll answer this after the game tonight. If he gets beaten by Joe Burrow at home, it will be time for him to do some soul searching

This is a very big game for the Browns. Less so for the Bengals. I could see Keenum making an appearance soon if they lose tonight.

Keenum had a very nice year with Minny and then actually performed well rating wise with a terrible offense last year. It still scares me that he led the second team offense to a win in a scrimmage against the first team offense while playing the first team defense.
