Sounds like they have Ben Tate in their plans for the offseason. If they threw some money at him and gave him the starting role, people would forget about Trent pretty fast. He's a solid RB, but his injury issues really have caught up to him. He doesn't have anywhere near the burst he did just 2 years ago in college.

I actually think this front office finally has the right mentality: we're going to get the people WE want in here, no matter where the last regime drafted them. Weeden will be gone soon, and so will Greg Little. We have an excellent young nucleus to build around in Gordon, Cameron, and the number of great players on defense. I like Hoyer but he's only going to take them so far. I say keep him as long as possible and draft a QB this coming year. Someone like Bridgewater or Hundley would work great in Turner's offense. Add another young WR to the mix and get some defensive back help and this is a playoff team sooner rather than later.

I really like Evans from Texas A&M. A more athletic, more talented, better-handed, faster Greg Little

I just dont believe that ogbayane+mcgahee+rainey is better than Richardson... and i just dont follow any argument that says that richardson is worse!!! The only way this trade makes sense to me is if Richardson was not a good locker room guy, and was creating problems... But i have not heard that to be true... Once again we are not talking about the future value of this trade, we are talking about the current value of it... I just dont see the argument that they are a better team without trent...

Shane, i see you are a cleveland person, so i appreciate you backing up your team... Trent had a very good rookie season, and he only played 2 games for cleveland this season, your defense looks like blind fandom...

The offense's success has more to do wit Hoyer and Cameron taking over, and the D is great. But the D was a top 10-15 D last year, they got a couppe keys guys and top 10 so far. But in those 1st 2 games the offense was non-exsistent. That is Weeden and Richardson's fault, they were the guys they needed to depend on. That facts are Richardson was capable of having a good game every so often, but he just wasn't fitting the Browns and wasn't improving the team. 3 yds/carry is all you need to look at.

At first I was dissappointed, but when I actually looked at the numbers. The Browns didn't lose much. But like I said the recent success has been defense and Hoyer. Running game is the same pretry non-existent, but at least we aren't forking up the cash for it.

Your bringing up cash, but how is that a factor if it was already paid??

Well of course the value is less, TRich was a top-5 pick.

Last 2 games TRich:

Niners- 13 carries 35 yds 2.7 yds/carry

Jags- 20 carries 60 yds 3.0 yds/carry

Browns Running from RB's last 2 games:

Vikings- 14 carries 49 yds 3.5 yds/carry

Bengals- 26 carries 82 yards 3.1 yds/carry

I am missing what TRich currently brings to the Browns that Rainey/McGahee/Ogbonnaya brings to this offense.

I just don't understand how he is better when his numbers are slightly worse. You said you weren't talking about future, not about assets from the trade (cash, picks). This is current, his numbers say it all.

So, do you really believe that Trent richardson is going to be a bad RB for the rest of the season?? If you really think that the trio on cleveland will be better than richardson, then it was a good trade, but i dont think that you truly believe that...
