The main prize in the RA Dickey deal hit a 2 run shot for us yesterday for his first big league home run, so that was pretty sweet.

Indeed. The kid seems to be able to hit, that is for sure. Now, if they can just find a way to keep him healthy. It is WAAAY too soon, but if he keeps getting dinged up, they may have to think about turning him into a 1B, as I am sure they want his bat in the lineup as often as possible.

It's possible, but his most recent injury was a weird fluke injury (foul ball off the foot).

Great timing for the Mets on this one.

Well, this is going to be a little awkward.
Tonight is “Marlon Byrd t-shirt night” at Citi Field, except the Mets just traded Byrd and John Buck to the Pirates.
If the Mets change the “6″ to a “43″ on the back of all the shirts they could pretend it’s “Paul Byrd t-shirt night” and honor the retired right-hander who threw 68 innings for them in 1995/1996. Hey, just trying to troubleshoot here.
