I actually had to stop a round because I injured myself golfing.

Hee hee. Truth is while it's not an intense or high stress sport, the jerky swing motion combined with periods of inactivity does lend itself to muscle strains and joint stress. Still, not a manly sport to get injured playing.

I injured myself chunking a shot six inches deep. My surgically-repaired, arthritic wrist didn't like that.

And unfortunately, I haven't. No time yet. Perhaps this weekend. If I can find someone to go with. I do have my clubs, though.

I had not played in two years before Monday so I am sure my swing is not a proper one. First hole I take a shot feel a pain in my arm. I stretch a bit and play on. It got worse over the next couple holes so I quit. It really hurt that afternoon, but ice and rest made it a lot better. It hurt me to straighten my arm. The next day its was better, the day after even better.

Wednesday it started bruising and today there is more of that. When I straighten my arm I can feel a big swollen spot on my inner elbow. SO while it is feeling better each day its getting uglier.

I think its golfers elbow/ muscle tear. I tried to go to a urgent care place just to make sure I didnt break it or something but they were closed. I can move it freely so I do not think its broken.


I did tell my wife to keep a hacksaw and a tourniquet handy in case it is necrotizing fasciitis.

It's not NF. That would have taken over real quick and you would have a severe fever. It could be a deep muscle bruise or a cyst of some sort though.

It could be cellulitis, which is not a joke. I was hospitalized with it a month or so back. Draw a circle around it and see if it is growing, also look for streaking....redness heading toward your core. Check your temperature now and then as well. If it gets high, or it expands or starts to feel warm to the touch, go the the ER.

shite! 1 month!?

I got some sort of bacterial infection a couple of years back ... launching a boat scratched my pinky toe ... the park beside boat launch was an offleash dog park ... filthy ... toe swelled up the size of a cocktail weenie

went to er and a nurse administered some sort of IV bag that went into me in 5 minutes ... my arm went ice cold and i fainted ... apparently she was new

ended up having to go back in daily for the next 5 days to get this same drip
