Iowa @ Nebraska Game Week Thread

I am still not concerned about running the ball in this game.

Ohio State, Northwestern, and Wisconsin all gashed this Defense on the ground. Northern Illinois didn't do too bad either.

None of those teams have Abdullah.

Abdullah is a stud but Wisky and OSU both have better ground attacks than Nebraska. I fully expect Abdullah to get his 120-130 on the ground. However Nebraska is going to have to make some plays in the air to win. I see this being a 17-13 type game. Ill take NU because it is in Lincoln.

TA's play has been mediocre lately... RKIII gives us a better chance to win right now.

I honestly don't see TA beating out Stanton next year. Stanton's a much better arm talent.

that gonna be a fun qb battle.

I think It depends on what the staff wants qb wise. I think TA has the edge bc of experience but if JS can sling the ball around TA will be in trouble

I think whoever wins this game should be in a solid position to get a January 1st game. Both teams travel well. Nebraska is the bigger TV draw though so you guys may get a better bowl even with an L here. Im surprised so many people have Minnesota and Michigan ahead of these 2 teams in bowl pecking order. Cant see anyway a bowl take the Gophers ahead of either team if the records are the same. Michigan has name appeal but cant imagine their fans are going to travel for shit this year with the apathy of the program this year.

Kenny Bell tweeted Outback Bowl.

That would be SEC #4. Something like South Carolina or Auburn.

I would rather have Big 12 #4, which could be Oklahoma in the Buffalo Wind Wings Bowl.

The way I read between the Tweet lines, is that the Outback Bowl has told Nebraska if they win on Friday, the Outback Bowl is ready to select Nebraska. The coaches probably let it slip.

If Ohio State is B1G Champion then Ohio State(Rose) and Wisconsin(At Large) go BCS Bowling. Michigan State to the Capital One Bowl.

If Michigan State is B1G Champion Michigan State(Rose) and Ohio State(At Large) go BCS Bowling. Wisconsin to the Capital One Bowl.

Outback Bowl selects Nebraska.

Nebraska has to win against Iowa which is not a given at all. I am still at 50-50 with no feeling for it yet.

Athlon sports has mizzou vs Nebraska in the outback

sad thing about Nebraska now is we get no love regular season wise from the media but come bowl season we jump everyone bc of our massive loyal fan base

on the low bcs bowl would love to have us we fill 2/3 of any stadium up with ease

There are legit 4 or 5 of the best 10 traveling fanbases in the country residing in the B10. Its the reason the B10 ALWAYS gets 2 teams in the BCS when 2 are eligible. OSU, Wisky, Nebraska, Iowa and PSU all travel to beat Jesus and Michigan is great too when their fans arent pissed.... LOL

I don't want the players getting ahead of themselves, the the KB tweedle about bowl games makes me wonder, this iowa team isn't one they should be nonchalant about, we've seen this attitude already this season, on a short week at that

going 8-4 into a bowl game isn't a good look.
