I'm excited to seeing some Abdullah-Morris or Abdullah-Kirksey collisions. I think Abdullah will be good, but I don't think he will be enough to beat Iowa. I think Phil Parker (Iowa's DC) will struggle to find a way to really stop him in the 1st half, but will find a way to shut him down unless Nebraska gets the pass game going.

If Nebraska has to rely on the pass, then I don't see them winning.

Abdullah is the most underestimated player in College Football.

If not for the epic losses this season, he would no doubt be up there in the Heisman convo

When Kellogg is in the game we like to stick to intermediate passes towards the sideline.

When Armstrong is in the game, for whatever reason, Beck likes to throw the ball up for grabs down field.......and to be honest he's just too young to be making those throws.

Iowa's LBs are great coverage LBs, especially Kirksey. He's great at covering the sideline passes. He has forced quite a few turnovers near the sidelines too and some great hits. I can confidently say I am not over-appreciating Iowa's LBs. Morris is good too, but he is great in the middle of the field.

There is just no doubt in my mind we are going to grind it out on the ground and then go play action.

This will probably be one of the more boring games of the year to watch in terms of what most people find "boring."

I love Defensive games personally, and that's what I believe this will be.

Look at his HS film. I pointed out earlier in the year that he got too much air under the ball. He must have has speedy rcvrs that could just outrun the coverage. He can throw it 60 yds, but they are floaters.

I was hoping he'd get that fixed now that he's in college, but it looks like it needs a lot of work in the off-season.

I agree.

I just cringe every time I see him throw the ball up for grabs 20 yards down the sideline......it's just never going to end up good, I swear

If Nebraska has to rely on the pass, then I don't see them winning.

If Rudock throws as many interceptions as he did against Michigan, I can see Nebraska winning with Abdullah being the primary playmaker. But if Iowa controls the ball alright, I think they need to give Iowa's D more to focus on than Abdullah.

I can see that working as well. I think Abdullah will have his worst game of the season, but I can see that strategy working vs Iowa's D. If Iowa struggles on offense, I can see Nebraska winning with that strategy.

Remember back after Tommy started his first game and all of us were on here declaring that Tommy should have been the starter all along?

Shows how much we know....

We sit here and bash the coaching staff as if we know what's going on in practice better than they do. Tommy was in no way ready to be a starting QB.

the experience he got will help him next year and when he gets full reps instead of splitting with tmart or rk3

trial by fire plus if tmart isn't fully or at least 90% he doesn't help us look at minny game or ucla

So, if Armstrong is healthy (er), who should start? Him or Kellogg?

I kindof agree with RA, being Senior Day and all RK earned a start, TA hasn't exactly been lighting it up. I'm sure they'll both play like normal unless TA's injury is worse than it seemed. There's definitely a drop off in the zone read with RK but it's no worse than with the other guy, AA seems to be doing just fine running for us, let him do the running, the passing game to me looks to flow much easier when RK steps under center

I think rk3 starts and depending on how he does or how hurt TA is he will probably play most of the game

I see a steady diet of AA like Rex in 2011.

Senior Day?

I'm thinking RK gets the nod.

I agree but for a different reason. For some reason, I've noticed that Beck continues to try on first down running plays straight up the middle--and ususally a couple of times a game--these haven't worked (other than gaining about two yards). IMO that's a wasted play. I'd prefer RKs passing over TAs at this stage of the season. RK against PSU did throw on first down. Not always successful but it sets a different tone for a defense. Iowa'a offensemay not be impressive but the "D" has to be respected and run run run won't cut it.

I am still not concerned about running the ball in this game.

Ohio State, Northwestern, and Wisconsin all gashed this Defense on the ground. Northern Illinois didn't do too bad either.

None of those teams have Abdullah.

TA's play has been mediocre lately... RKIII gives us a better chance to win right now.

I honestly don't see TA beating out Stanton next year. Stanton's a much better arm talent.

Yeah he (RKIII) got us a good first down Saturday too but watching him run is like watching Martinez throw :L

agree, watching RKIII run the option is horrible. I couldn't believe it when Beck called it with him and Cross in the backfield. Then how freakin' high was I jumping when they freakin' made it. That had to have been the slowest option play ever.

Kenny Bell tweeted Outback Bowl.

That would be SEC #4. Something like South Carolina or Auburn.

I would rather have Big 12 #4, which could be Oklahoma in the Buffalo Wind Wings Bowl.

1. They'll have to beat Iowa first
2. They have to hope the Big 10 gets two teams into the BCS.

They need BOTH of those to happen for Outback.

I just realized I may not be able to watch the game Fri. on account of going on a snowboarding trip for Thanksgiving, unless the hotel has good enough intranet highway I can stream off of
