Injuries are part of the game. They are unfortunate but a part of the game. Teams need preseason games to evaluate the 90 players on their teams. I understand that when someone goes down it's horrible, but that's why the get paid what they do. Honestly, it sucks when anyone gets hurt but to say that the preseason isn't necessary is uninformed. Ask any of the coaches. Also, I often wonder about no contact injuries like Nelson's and whether or not the ligament was going to snap anyway. Maybe it was just weakened to the point already. Who Knows?
