Thank the good lord. I want to punch a puppy in the face every time someone mentioned Namath in the great QB category. The guy was flat out awful. I simply cannot understand how someone with more INT's then TD's is considered great.
Lost more games than he won. 50% completion percentage. Career rating in the 60's. More picks than TD's (compare a contemporary QB to his numbers instead of one in a more modern era). The fact that he's in the HOF rests solely on the fact that he beat the Colts. That's it. His numbers are a travesty.
If he's a HOF QB, than Ricky Williams is a HOF RB, Arnaz Battle is a HOF WR, and Brady Quinn is on the way to a HOF career.
