nole is in better form now than in australia. baseline perfection combined with service return perfection.

otherworldly.

nole's level of play is crazy. he hasn't defended like this since 2011, and i think he's even better offensively right now than he was back then.

calling murray a wast of space is a staggering overreaction. he can play better, of course, but this would be a W for nole today even if murray came out serving 80% first serves.

murray hitting some really good first serves, and nole just destroying them. tennis fans have to be in awe of what they're seeing. murray can't get a 120+ MPH serve past him anywhere in the box.

wow.

He might win another major off of clay, but I think it's very reasonable of people who understand tennis to be skeptical of it. For people who just go by their emotions/feelings, not so much. No matter what, I still like Rafa's chance of beating Fed in any final on any surface except indoor hard court.

Riiight. "People who understand tennis" my foot. I am sure "people who understand tennis" like the so-called "experts" at espn and here who fail in their spectacular predictions or insight. The arrogance and condescension is putrid. I remember in 2005 at the Australian Open where the so-called experts and "people who understand tennis" claim Serena was a "fat toad" and overweight who was never going to have an impact. They claimed she was done a la Pat Cash et al. She stunned them as she won the last set in 18 minutes crushing her fellow American Davenport 6-0 in the final. Experts and "people who understand tennis?" Okay.

non-tennis fans don't understand, and combine it with people who just go by emotions, and it's hopeless.

10 years ago, Tracy Austin absolutely and unequivocally said that Jankovic was going to win a major.

I remember it during a US Open broadcast back when it was still aired on USA Network. She was totally wrong, but boy was it fun to watch back then. ESPN just isn't the same.

If Nole plays close to what he did yesterday, it should be over in 2 sets no matter how good Fed is feeling.

I still can't get over what I saw from Djokovic yesterday. He made the court half size on his side of the net, and saw the ball 3 times as big as it was.

- Completely impenetrable from the baseline
- Virtually unbreakable with his own serve
- Returning 120+ MPH serves from everywhere in the box like they're WTA serves in the middle of the box

scary

Bring on the guys. May the best win. Love both of them, but wishing Roger can take it.
