After reading the text messages, I am reaffirmed of my initial opinion. Martin was/is a weak minded individual who tried to throw Richie under the bus in order to continue receiving payment from the Dolphins. Whether his agent was the brain trust behind the whole scheme is of no importance. If Martin was a decent human being he wouldn't have allowed it to go as far as it went and get a friend released from the team.

I just skimmed through the article, but I'm surprised Martin hasn't heard worse in prior locker rooms. I'm starting to get the sense that Martin was just looking for an out, and this was the most convenient thing for him to use. It's okay that you're not cut out to play professional football, not many people are. It's not okay that he threw a teammate and apparent friend under the bus because you couldn't handle it.

I didn't read all the texts, but from the texts I did read, I see nothing wrong.
