In their defense, I think it was only a couple hats and I only remember because I had just tuned in for the shootout (was flipping channels after the Sharks game had ended or something, I forget)... and the Wild announcers mentioned something like "oh, there are a few hats on the ground... there's no need for that, Wild fans, it's not technically a hat trick". Hah!

Meh it has happens just about every time a player on the home team has 2 goals in regulation and scores in the shootout. I'm sure most fans know it's not technically a hat trick but just do it for fun anyway. I have no problem with it.
