Yeah. Storm pushing Mickie James on to the train tracks is treading into the faking Vince's death category. It's lower than low.

It reminded me of WWF circa 1997 when their backs were against the wall and the angles were over the top. Some of it worked, some of it didn't, but at least there was effort. I haven't watched a full episode of TNA in years but I though it was really entertaining. I'm actually looking forward to next weeks episode which is something I don't say most weeks after Raw

Problem is, even if TNA gets exciting and good, its stuck on a channel I have never heard of before and I also do not get in my cable package.

Looks like TNA is nearing its end. They just lost Magnus and Austin Aries. The rest of the talent is mad because they aren't in the "know" at all. Their TV contract is up in September? My guess is the ship starts to sink pretty fast now.

Jeff Jarret's 2nd project GFW will become TNA v2.0

Destination America is cancelling TNA in September, so they are going to be without a network home once again. They are negotiating with FOX Sports 2 and WGN America right now according to PW Insider. We will see where that leads them.

We'll see how Global Force Wrestling does. GFW had their first set of "television" tapings tonight. The turnout seems to be good. I've been led to believe that GFW is going to be somewhat different product-wise than TNA, but I wouldn't be surprised (In fact, I'm pretty much expecting it) to see some familiar TNA faces in Global Force.

Well, Turners guaranteed TV contracts were what kept the best wrestlers out of the WWF, so at least these guys should keep going somewhere. TNA had the right idea, but no leaders.

The schedule also helped WCW. The WWF/E has always had a very tough schedule for the talent.

TNA has had many issues over the years. The lack of advertising, poor creative direction since 2007 and Dixie Carter (and the Carter/Jarrett power struggle that went on for years) were their main issues.

In my opinion, their product went in a decline the moment they replaced Scott D'Amore's booking team with the Jarrett/Dutch Mantel (who was a member of D'Amore's booking team) and Vince Russo team.

D'Amore (and Tenay) were mostly responsible for TNA's product from May 2005 to September 2006. They ran everything past Jeff Jarrett and if Jarrett liked what he saw, then it was put on TV and PPV. During this period, you saw great action in the X-Division, a strong tag team division, a good upper midcard and the main event scene became more interesting than ever.

Things took a sharp decline the moment D'Amore was replaced.

Keeping with the awfulness, I watched Sting vs Hardy from Victory road 2011 when Hardy was really fucked up and lost the match in 1:30. Kind of speaks for itself on how terrible TNA is that they would allow him to go out there like that.

And PJ Black (formerly Justin Gabriel, for those who didn't know) won the King of the Mountain, apparently?

As a huge professional wrestling fan, I never want to see a professional wrestling company (especially one that has been on national television for the past ten years) fail, but with TNA, I can't really be fussed about it.

TNA's business model is awful. They focus on television more than WCW ever did and WCW was pretty much owned by a television company. Their advertising is pretty much non-existent and their house show business was bad because of their lack of advertising and the bad locations they chose.

Creativiely wise, TNA has been pretty bad since late 2006/early 2007. Once upon a time, TNA was an upstart company that provided a great product and was a true alternative to WWE. Eight to nine years ago they decided to throw that away and become WWE-lite. They haven't been the same since.

Why can't some update or current "B" list wrestling company sign a deal with Netflix. Wrestling documentaries were pooular on Netflix until the WWE network started and took all their programming off.

This news is about a week old, but

There is supposedly an investor that is interested in TNA. However, Dixie Carter is only willing to give up 49% of the company.

No one wants to invest in TNA, if Dixie is still the majority owner. The investor that is interested in TNA wants around 55%.

TNA under Dixie Carter's leadership is on a dead end road, where the best they are going to do is 250-400K viewers per show on a network like POP.

TNA needs new ownership, and maybe a re-branding. If Dixie cared about TNA and the wrestling business, she would cave and give up ownership. Unfortunately, I think she would rather be the head of a struggling company than be a supporting player of a healthy one.

If anyone sees Spike/Bellator's current relationship right now, it should be noted, that Spike wanted to have a similar relationship with TNA, but Dixie refused to sell.

Bellator is apparently doing great numbers, so one can only wonder what would have happened if Spike was able to get their hands on TNA. Not saying that they would be doing as good as Bellator, but I believe they would be in pretty good shape right now.

TNA's been so good lately. They're telling the best stories and have the best character development in wrestling right now. I should DVR it because I still miss it half the time. Not a fan of their night and time slot, but with WWE's programming I can't think of an obvious better one
