This is in conjuction with my thread on what rules would you change if you were put in charge of NASCAR. Feel free to create schedules for any (or all) of the top 3 series. My one request is that you try to be realistic (so no Riverside, North Wilkesboro, etc.)
Since the 2020 schedule is already out, I created a 2021 Cup schedule taking into consideration the changes I would want to make to the sport. The distances are in miles unless I specify laps.
2/6: All-Star Race at Daytona (Saturday night)
2/14: Daytona 500
2/21: Las Vegas 300
2/28: Phoenix 250 laps
3/7: Sears Point 70 laps
3/14: Kentucky 300
3/21: Bristol 400 laps
3/28: Dover 400 laps
4/4 (Easter): off
4/11: Talladega 500
4/18: New Hampshire 300 laps
4/25: Darlington 400
5/2: Martinsville 400 laps
5/8: Richmond 400 laps (Saturday night of Mother's Day weekend)
5/15 & 5/16: Pocono 250 (both days)
5/23: Road America 50 laps
5/30: Charlotte 600 (night of Memorial Day weekend)
6/6: Iowa 350 laps
6/13: Kansas 300
6/20: Michigan 400 (Father's Day)
6/27: Dover 400 laps
7/4: Daytona 400 (night)
7/11: Martinsville 400 laps
7/18: Atlanta 400
7/24: Richmond 400 (Saturday night)
8/1: Watkins Glen 90 laps
8/7: Indianapolis 400 (Saturday)
8/15: Talladega 500
8/21: Bristol 500 (Saturday night)
8/29: Charlotte 400
9/5: Darlington 500 (night of Labor Day weekend)
That's 30 races+1 exhibition race with 1 off weekend. There are 5 Saturday races and 6 night races.
I was trying to keep the dates spread to avoid a track having it's dates too close together. I know weather could become an issue with some of these dates. Kentucky and Bristol in March? Talladega in August? I did shorten many of the races other than some of the more prestigious and/or popular races.
